New Park Rumor

It's my understanding that Disney bus drivers know everything. So, I've learned never to question anything they say. I even go to them for fashion advice, parenting (tips for my niece do come in handy), and how to handle my finances and investments. Disney Bus Drivers would put an end to famine, create a framework for financial prosperity, and tell us exactly when and where our minor grumbles are welcomed and appropriate.

This is a mish mash of at least two rumors.

First as everyone has said US still owns the rights to the rides they have and are keeping them for the foreseeable future. Even if Disney acquired the rights they don't get the rides just the characters. The ride stays maybe gets repainted and becomes different themed coaster.

Second there is a proposed High speed coaster park for the area but its not a WDW park.

I think its on hold because they are trying convince the neighbors that they can control the sound pollution.

I'm sure that's what he meant.

BTW, ME and DCL bus drivers aren't Disney employees.

But, that thrill park that's planned along I-Drive has some INCREDIBLE-looking rides that I would love to check out, if it does finally get approval.

Just returned home yesturday after 7 days at the World. On the way to the airport our Magical Express driver said a new park is in the works opening in about 3 years. He said it would be mainly all hi-speed thrill rides. Also said that because Disney had bought the rights to Marvel Comics from Universal some of Universals rides would be torn down (Hulk, Spider Man ect.) and put back up at the new park. Anyone else here this?

IF, and that's a giant IF, a new Disney theme park opens, it won't be in three years. I'm not sure if anything is even in the concept stage, but even if something is, I wouldn't expect a new park to open for another 10 years.

I have read on another Disney Board (from a reliable source) that the 5th park is to be called World of Marvel. They also claim that Disney is buying back the Marvel rights. I checked with the owner of another Disney site who claims a 5th park is coming. I've asked him before if it would be a villains park and he said no. He also said that the Night Kingdom/Jungle Trek thing was dead. So, this time when I mentioned World of Marvel he wouldn't comment. That may mean there is some truth to the rumor.

I agree. A better thing would be to add an E ticket ride or two to DHS and AK. The longer they keep people in the park, the more money is spent.

When the 5th gate does open within the next 10 years, no one will force the doubters or conservative Disney fans who never want WDW to expand beyond 4 aging parks to visit it. I'll be more than glad to add it to my annual pass and millions of others will flock to it.
