Hi Everyone

Can someone please tell me about the new rope drop system? If the park is scheduled to open at 9am (not an early admission day) What time are you actually let on to Main Street to saunter around? And then is everyone held up before the castle to be let in? What time would you recommend getting there to be one of the first in?

1. If the park is scheduled to open at 9am (not an early admission day)
2. What time are you actually let on to Main Street to saunter around?
3. And then is everyone held up before the castle to be let in?
4. What time would you recommend getting there to be one of the first in?

1. Looks like by "park" you mean Magic Kingdom.
2. Between 7:45-8:05AM.
3. Except those with early CRT reservations and possible Early Morning Magic tickets.
4. 7:25-ish.
Can you arrive later than that and still have access to walking around Main St.?
Sure.

Thanks so much...

I didn't know about this. Is the Starbucks on Main Street open for breakfast before 9:00?

I hope it's ok to hijack this thread a little sorry OP. What about an 8:00 opening, not EMH?

Expect them to let Guests onto Main St. between 7:45 and 8:00AM.
(Yes, that's the same time as for a 9AM opening.)
After my June trip every year I drop off the boards for several months. I feel like a lot happened in the second half of last year that I'm just getting caught up on. So the MK now opens at 7:45 every day and if it's a 9am open you can basically mull around on Main Street until that time unless you have an early adr... they will let you pass through? Did I get that right?

This really stinks as I was hoping they would let people in at 7am. They pushed the opening hours up to 8am our entire week in March. So I guess there is no opening show at all now for regular 8am openings and just a congested walk down main street.....how does this help with the bottleneck for an 8am opening?

We have a trip planned for May after not having been for 6 years! It's a whole new world for us.

Why would you think there's no opening show?

If they are holding everyone at the tunnels until 7:45-8:00 with an 8am opening there won't be anyone at the castle right? Or will they walk everyone behind a rope (like the old procedure) up to the hub and then do the show? I just assumed with an 8am regular opening they would allow people in at 7am to keep with the new procedure.
