New parade questions

So the blog said that the new fireworks would be running nightly. I wonder if that holds true in off season as well. I'm planning on going in October.

Anybody have any educated guesses as to what kind of schedule the new paint the night parade would have? Nightly? Even weekdays? Even in off season?

And what happens to the day time parade? Is it bumped off by Paint the Night because of cost? Since there isn't a time conflict (paint the night being...well, at night).

I doubt the new fireworks show will run nightly for the rest of the year once it starts. DLR is limited in the number of nights when it can present a fireworks. So my guess is that the show will run on roughly the same schedule that fireworks normally run, which means only on weekends in the fall.

I was inclined to think that Disneyland Forever would be scaled back after summer and before the holiday season, but I think that there could and may be exceptions to the rule for a super-special event, though.

For example, Halloween Screams ran every single night, all through Halloween Time, in 2009 (with the exception of any nights when wind interfered). That was the year it debuted. Presumably, there were nightly fireworks during the summer and during the holiday season in 2009 too, so there wouldn't have been too much 'fireworks down time' (too many off nights) in between summer and Halloween Time, and in between Halloween Time and the holidays.

I won't be shocked if Disneyland Forever happens (almost) nightly this year, and is then cut back a bit in January 2016.

As for the parade, I think that there will be some sort of daytime parade on certain days, but who knows what it will be? Maybe Soundsational? Maybe Disney will run the Costume Cavalcade during the daytime (outside of a hard ticket Halloween party)? My guess (and it's only a guess) would be that Paint the Night will run nightly, weather permitting.

Thank You for the info Sherry!
What date do you think Halloween decorations will go up?
Our first day in the park will be Sept 20th, for Dapper Week...

Lori --

I thought you hated Halloween?! :confused3

I think that Halloween Time (the season) will be going on by 9/20. It's quite possible that even Mickey's Halloween Party -- which would normally begin in late September -- will be happening by that point (in which park is anyone's guess!).

Normally, I would have expected Halloween Time to start somewhere between 9/10 and 9/15. This year I think that a lot of things may be thrown off kilter, and I don't know if it will start much earlier or much later than usual.

Sherry! LOL! :rotfl2:
You know me well! I do not like Halloween, BUT......... I do like Fall! :lovestruc
So, if I am there for Dapper Week, and the 60th celebration YEAR, I might as well see the Halloween stuff,,,,,,,,,, :faint:

Thank You, wise one!
