New Pan Quest IN Q

Ok... I did the quest this morning..and boy it was hard! A couple of us did it at the same time.... I knnew about half of them.. but Happy helped me finsih it

I just have one question and I had it for a while! this might seem stupid on my part...but how do you get the answers if they are in white out??? I must be missing somthing here!

You click and hold down to highlight the area, then the white text will show up.

Yesterday I did the quest and it was "off WE go" and today while doing the quest for my son it is "off you go"- found out in despiration earlier lol of trying everything I could think of like that

In post 13 above i posted this as answer yesterday. It would apparently accept either at that time but it shows in lyrics "off you go".

"Here we go!" is what I have come up with over and over. Don't really know why they keep changing it so far I have changed that one answer 3 times.

Yes! I'm not crazy! I had the same problem with the 'here we go' vs. 'off you
go' lyrics. If it wasn't SuperBillyHill taking pity on me for trying every variation
of 'here we go' last night, I'd be still stuck on task 5.

The whole off you go, here we go, off we go debate was in my head all day today as I work at The Disney Store and on our 40 minute long DVD loop, the part of the song in question plays once a loop...so I kept listening and sure enough...it was "off you go". Who knows what VMK is hearing.

It is because for some strange reason, all the lyric websites have the "alternative" lyrics listed instead of the lyrics that actually play in the song. Not just the "here we go/off you go" part is different, but pretty much the entire song. If you happen to have the Peter Pan soundtrack, the proper lyrics are written in the liner notes. And anyone familiar with the song should know the right words.

I guess it's not so much VMK's fault as it is whoever puts song lyrics online, because that's probably where they initially got it from, and that's where everyone who doesn't know the song all that well is going to for the answer.

not saying that either of you are not correct, but I do know that the original soundtrack to Peter Pan contained the song "Never Smile at a Crocodile" which none of the newer version do.

I also know that Disney songs tend to change slightly over the years and that could be the case here.

I would imagine, though, that taking out a song (or adding one in) is a lot easier than changing the lyrics to the song...unless the song was prerecorded with various lyrics changes so that it could be swapped out whenever. Thinking about the song now...the song is called "YOU can fly"...all the lyrics focus on you you you...so it would be kind of weird to have it all of a sudden say "we". When listening to the song (while watching the movie clip a gazillion times) at work today, I could tell how easily confused it can get as them saying "you" in off you go is said pretty quickly that it can easily be heard as "we." If I'm not mistaken, Peter Pan has also said "here we go!" which I could also uunderstand why people would switch out the terms in their head. Anyway, not saying this is concrete answer, just trying to see how all this could possibly be worked out.

I don't know anything about "new" versions of the soundtrack, but yes, my version has bonus tracks of songs that did not appear in the movie, but the rest of the songs are just as they are sang in the film. The lyrics to "You Can Fly!" that are sang in the movie are the "true" lyrics and should be what everyone is familiar with.

I think the solution would be just to get RID of the darn question and ask a different one.

Now, see I know those...and they're not terribly exciting. I agree with Grumpy Dad's song in need of clarification...does anyone have any idea what he sings besides "Blinded by the light"? I suppose I could stop being lazy and just go google it, but then we have the possibility of incorrect lyrics like we did with "You Can Fly." Hmm... a mystery for the ages, I suppose.
