New Pal Mickey

What is going to be different about the new Pal Mickey? Will he do more things? Can we get the older ones updated?
My son bought his with his own money (ordered it in the fall) it hasn't even gone to disney yet. We'll be there next month. I hate to think he's outdated.

I'd like to know also. I bought my son PM last month and really enjoys listening to him, especially his jokes and he didn't mind carrying it around him at the parks. I know I can't exchange him, besides, I don't have the receipt anymore. But I just wanted to know what is different about the new one?
