New Pal Mickey....

Will my old Pal Mickey still give me the information for the 50th, or do I have to invest in another pal mickey?

The original pal mickey will still get downloads from the parks, although I am not sure he will receive info on new attractions like Soaring, and other new attractions.

I asked a CM that same question and his answer was the old pal mickey will still work and receive updates evenfor new rides . He said the MAjor differences were that the 50th edition mickey will have a different costume and play more games than the old one

Thanks for posting this because I have the same question! I was thinking he would still work since his info is received/updated each time you enter the park. I was thinking that the primary change was a marketing thing, removable clothing so we can buy new one$ for him.

Are you certain that this is what you were told by a CM, related to Pal being able to receive updates even for new rides.

I have been told that Pal Mickey can not upload new information, he can only have the information that is already inside him, triggered.
His state can change, but new information can not be loaded into him.

My Pal is a version 1.0. My Pal has been in the parks since the release of version 1.1 and had whatever they do, when they put his nose on that machine, done to him. At one point I thought it was an upgrade of some sort. I was then told that it was only a reset. My Pal seemed to access new jokes, that I had never heard before, and continued to have those jokes when I left the park (so they were not the jokes triggered by the specific transmissions inside the park). However, my Pal does not have the new information that is in version 1.1. My Pal does not change state when he leaves a park to a "do not repeat the same joke over and over" state (a version 1.1 feature).

What are other people being told by CMs (or other "official" sources), related to what information can be uploaded to Pal Mickey?
