New Package Discount for Disney Visa Holders!

I booked 9 nights at ASMu (2 rooms) 10/18-10/27 with one day base tickets for the five of us, with trip insurance for 1446.09. This is the first time I have done a package. Is the trip insurance optional, and would the package be cheaper without it? Or is trip insurance something that we should really have? Thanks for the input! :)

I just got 7 nights at the Poly with one day tickets and dining for 2 adults, DD10 & DS7 and DD2 for $3133.16... My original ressie with AAA and room only was $2591.00...I only needed one day tickets because my husband will only be with us for 4 days and we already have our hoppers. Do you think this is a good deal? The CM told me this will be a better deal than the AP rates which will becoming out soon.

We are staying 7 nights at POP no dining, no insurance, 8 day base tickets for $1007.75. Our dates are 10/7-10/14.

Insurance is about $60 per adult. We already have non-refundable airline tickets, so no point in the travel insurance. Saved us another $120.

OH!! WOW!!!

I had called this afternoon, but I couldn't book it right then. When I called back tonight, the woman was kind of rude and didn't seem to really look very well. She told me that there was nothing available for our dates. I was ready to cry, but I told myself to just try back one more time tonight.

I got a really nice CM that time, and she got it to go thru. I am so happy!!!!! :goodvibes

We will be at a cabin in Ft. Wilderness from 11/18-11/26. I got 1 day base tickets. It would've been$2897 and now we have it for $2213. We are saving almost $700. I am so happy now. I love the disboards. :wave2:

I called but they do not have anything available for the POP during my stay 11/30-12/5..all they had was the Allstar Sports or Music and since my stay is during the POP Warner week I do not want to stay at the Allstar resorts.
She did have the POR available, but I know the POP Warner group stays there as well.
I may sleep on it and call again tomorrow and see if they have any other moderate resort available...maybe I'll upgrade if the price is right

what are these one day base tickets everyone is talking about with their packages ??

Now that I'm home from work I double checked the numbers and it seems like I'm paying the same rate for our FW cabin that I was with the AAA discount. How are some others having significant savings? I'm not really good at math so maybe I'm missing something but I don't think so.

Before the package we had a room only rate with AAA so I'm having to do some "pretend" math to compare apples to apples.

AAA
Room only rate: $226.35 per night x 7 = $1,584.45
4 - 1 day base MYW tickets @ $71.36 each = $285.44
Dining plan for 4 adults x 7 days = $1,064
TOTAL: $2,933.89

VISA = package cost $2,935.38
4 - 1 day base MYW tickets @ $71.36 each = $285.44
Dining plan for 4 adults x 7 days = $1,064
FW cabin must be costing me $1,585.94 or $226.56 per night

Its actually barely more expensive with the VISA code. Am I correct? Wonder why I'm not seeing any big discount like a lot of other posters.

My TA was able to get me the discount for our packing w/dining at the WL 11/30-12/10 and saved us approx. $335.!!! :cool1: :cheer2:  :yay:

I just got off the phone with CRO. I have the following booked for one person:

Oct 9-13
CSR - Water view room
5 day Park hopper ticket
No dining
$913.80

I was told the only mod they have availability for with this Disney Visa discount is POFQ.

Oct 9-13
POFQ
5 day Park hopper ticket/with dining
$847.84

I booked through AAA, so I'd have to switch it through them. I emailed my TA a few minutes ago asking her to call them tomorrow. CRO also said the following was available. Again, all with one person. I'm staying 10 days at AKL end of Sept. beginning of Oct. If it weren't for that, I'd go ahead and book one of these.

Oct 9-13
AKL - savannah view
5 day Park hopper/with dining
$1522.84

Poly - same dates
Garden view
5 day Park hopper/with dining
$1657.84

IMN2DSNY:
Is that for 4 nights at the Poly? That rate looks great..I may check on that tomorrow.

4 nights at the Poly it is. 5 day hopper with dining. I sure do wish I could do it, but I've spent enough money on this vacation as it is. I'll be gone 3 weeks, but I don't seem to be able to stop. I should just give up and move there. :rotfl2:

In order to book a package you have to have the resort and park tickets. If you already have your tickets you can qualify for the package by just buying a one day base ticket.

Reading these threads reminds me of the Geico insurance commercials. :rotfl2:
"I just saved a bunch on my Disney vacation." :rotfl2: :wave2: :moped:

I just changed my reservation! Got CBR December 23-29 with 6 day park hoppers and dining for 2585.76, price before discount would have been 3193.00!!

4 nights poly GV + dining w/ 2 5 day PH's: $2060.16 versus $2465 before the code so about $100 per night savings during regular season.

I was quoted LVC w/ insurance at $3238 but the rooms sold out by the time the CM tried to get a no-insurance option. The pre-package price was $3617 w/o insurance. I have no idea how much their insurance costs to get an apples-apples comparison but it still looks like it's about $100 a nite.

HTH!

I tried to get CSR from October 29-November 6, and there was no availibility! So I booked POFQ, but I'll keep trying for CSR! :thumbsup2

How did you hear about this pakage? I find it annoying that I got no info through Disney Visa or the Disney website. I seem to be shut out of this deal because due to they had limited availability during Thanksgiving and I did not find out till 5:30 and was sold out.
