I looked into the package online, but didn't look like my dates were available.

What are your dates?

Sometimes there are various ways around this.

I read about the code here yesterday and immediately called my travel agent this morning. They didn't seem to know much about the existence of these codes or whether it could be used. They contacted the Supplier (Holiday House) who said they didn't think it would be a problem, but it would be 24-48 hours before they would get back to me! If I had booked through Disney myself it would be settled by now, not to mention I would have thought a travel agency would be a little more proactive (I have heard of American ones applying the codes automatically!). So I still don't know if I will get the discount or how much, has anyone else had a better experience with Sears?

Believe me, a lot of Canadian Travel Agencies are just as proactive. I assure you that it's not just the American ones.

Given the fact that your travel agent booked with Holiday House tells me that you booked through a 'regular' TA and not a Disney Specialist.
A Disney Specialist agent (from the United States or Canada) would of booked through Disney directly, been proactive just the same and thus you would of gotten you the discount.

Hopefully for your sake Holiday House will honour the code. (geez, that sounded like a line out of Pirates)
