New Owner Need Help!!!

I am a new owner staying at OKW for the 1st time. Do I need to bring pool towels or are they provided? Also does anyone know if the beds have fitted sheets on them? I hate when they put flat sheets on the bottom and they become undone.

Welcome Home!! I stayed at OKW in June for my first DVC trip and LOVED it.

No on the pool towels. They are available at the pool, you just have to show your room key.

I don't really remember if the bottom sheets were fitted, I just know that we all thought the beds were the most comfortable we'd ever had in a hotel or resort before.

Never stayed at OKW, but the resorts have towels for the pools. Can't offer help on the sheets question (never payed it any attention). Sorry it's a GUY thing

ALL DVC resorts use flat sheets for everything. The reason is that elastic for fitted sheets is just not sturdy enough for all the washings needed at a place like that. One good thing is that they are 600 thread count sheets, so nice and soft!

All DVC pools have towels available. The main pool may ask for your room key to get one, but at the neighborhood pools scattered around OKW, you will find them in a little tented cart. Be sure to deposit your used towels in the giant towel return bins (look like big garbage cans) provided.

Thank you all!!!! Less stuff to pack now I think I will bring a fitted sheet for my bed though. I hate when the sheets ride up and I end up sleeping on a mattress.

If you bring your own fitted sheet ... you need to make a note for Mousekeeping so they dont take it when changing the sheets.

I know where you are coming from... I am a tosser and a turner, and tend to work the sheets free when the are flatted on bottom, BUT... I have never found this to be a problem with any Disney resort. I think they must have over-sized sheets

Remember Queen size sheets for studio beds and king size for 1 or 2 BR villas. If I remember right they are the really deep mattresses also.Hope you have a great trip.

Our sheets do tend to become undone.

Even our fitted sheet at home comes undone b/c of the pillowtop mattress. Solution? $2 sheet clips available at Wal-Mart. I would bring those and it will save you some space in your suitcase.
