That red-roofed building in the lower-left quadrant appears to be the building where the Jaws boats went for work, or is my perspective wrong? I wonder why they kept that.... Maybe temp storage until it's no longer needed? Not expecting answers, more of a rhetorical question. ;)

That's what I think as well. I'm glad it is still there. It gives some perspective of the size of the empty land. There sure is a lot of space to work with.

Ugh. When they move the hanging shark it will sink in. :headache: At this point I can't be anything but excited about a new attraction.

Now I just hope they develop the Fear Factor space into something equally relevant with all the revenue that the Potter expansion will bring in.

I hope they clear the bit on the lagoon side first and put at least something attractive there during the long (multi-year?) construction process, then they can take down those ugly construction walls on that side of the walk way.

Put anything there for now, even a few merchandise carts - attractive benches - snack cart - a display of some kind - anything!!

Its currently like a gloomy horrible walkway of horrible gloominess with that narrow corridor they have created.

And the lagoon is full of big pieces of ugly equioment for the new nightime show

It all looks like a nasty suburban power plant over there.

I agree about the walls but I imagine they must remain up while construction is going on since the general public has to stay back from the site. The only thing I can see happening is closing that whole section but the walls are there to stay for a while. On the up side I can see those walls being used for a great new house at HHN this year. ;)

From the rumours I have heard, they will put some kind of viewing area in there for the night-time show. Permits have also been filed to move the Shark, and to put in new decking in several areas overlooking the lagoon.

i like how you think.......:thumbsup2

damo thanks for posting the picture of that big ugly hole in the ground! seriously:thumbsup2

something wicked this way comes (no need to prick your thumbs;))

you'd think that bradbury's novel would've inspired an attraction or house by now:confused3

How often will you be able to get these aerial pics? Would love to see progress pics from time to time.

I'll post updates when I see them. I don't expect much to happen for a bit while they do the grading.

Hoping for Sci-Fi City w/ Transformers: The Ride to come to Orlando in the Jaws area.

More Harry Potter makes sense from a business/money standpoint, but they should really balance it out by putting Transformers there.

I wonder where they'll move the shark to? He'd look odd next to the DeLorean.

Could they use the red roof building for a haunted house? I know that they had one in the Jaws buildings.

Maybe the shark can go over to the San Francisco area.

Yeah - I think Camp Blood (Friday the 13th - Jason) was implemented in the Jaws area a few years back.

Also, I'm sure someone would buy that hanging shark for thousands...they probably won't get rid of it though!

Or at the very least... an Awesome Scare Zone. Seriously, with dark / gloomy bottleneck with no escape, What better location for a scarezone can you think of? ;)

San Francisco might work, or maybe over in one of the areas by the lagoon near Mel's or the other side in the New York Area (Across the street from the Delorean/old Murder She Wrote building.)

Shark has already been moved to the SF area and looks to be almost ready for photo-ops once again.
