Hi cabin campers,

Can you tell me if they've put the new Cuisinart pod style coffee makers in the cabins? Making my shopping list and wondering what to buy.

Thanks,

In Nov 2011 they still had the old style coffee makers.

Have fun!

I was wondering the same thing! I am only guessing but I can't find a single thread or picture with any mention of a new coffee machine for the cabins so I am going to pick up regular coffee. I hope that works:)

Just noticed your trip date!! A little more than a week before mine! :) We're getting close!

Exactly! We keep debating here - the mods all got them, but is this considered different because of the full kitchen? Like they assume you're going to want a pot of coffee with breakfast vs a quick cup in your room where you're less likely to be eating a meal! I think I'm going to wait until I get there since I'm making a grocery/perishable run.

I'll be sure I post what's there when I check in! It'll help you at least!

We leave 2 weeks from tomorrow!!

Wow. You took that way wrong.
I was in no way trying to be smart!
Call directly to Fort Wilderness front desk.

Thank you!! I think you're right. The one cup coffee makers would seem kind of silly in a full kitchen wouldn't they? Especially considering they can sleep 6 people comfortably. It just wouldn't be enough for a group that size.

Also not trying to be smart but even if you are in the cabin and call the front desk, by I think hitting a button labeled Front Desk, you will get a call center probably not even Florida.

The front desk is for checking in people not answering calls. Now if you could get connected to house keeping at the fort that may be another issue.

We have stayed in the cabins many times. The last time was in Feb, 12. They have always had two coffee pots.

One is the type that you find in a regular motel room. It makes two cups at a time. It uses packets of coffee in a filter. The houskeeper gives you a new supply each day.

The other is a home style coffee pot that makes 12 cups. It uses your coffee and the flat bottom coffee filters that you supply.

Thanks. That 2 cupper is the one that's been replaced slowly in all the rooms, now they have the Cuisinart pod maker. If they have those in the cabin, then we'd prefer to use that rather than making a full pot of coffee. I assume that 12 cupper will still be there, but it's the small one that I'm wondering about.

I'll report on August 14 :cheer2:

I know I'm bumping an old thread, but if anyone has been recently, can you confirm that I can bring coffee grounds and use a non-pod style maker?

Is a Cuisinart the same as a Keurig? What do I care, I don't drink coffee, but I know a Keurig will make hot chocolate.

We are driving to WDW first week of Dec and staying at the cabins. We have one of the small single serve Kuerig machines that we bought for our off property stay last year. Will we be allowed to use it at the cabins? Our family enjoys being able to choose from a variety of coffees without having to buy several different bags. This way we'll be able to bring coffee from home and save a little$$$. :)

Not really.

A Keurig brand machine only uses K-cups. Cuisinart makes all kinds of coffee makers but only some use the K cups.

The Cuisinart that a PP may refering to is this one.

which I think uses a disc shaped pod that looks like this

In Feb of 2013 they had the 10 cup that you could use the packets that mousekeeping would supply or you could use a flat bottom filter with your own coffee.
