(4/17: Updated to reflect updated programming schedule)

Samantha Brown is going to give us "Season of Disney," and it sounds like the folks at Walt Disney World should be overjoyed.

Travel Channel announced four programs in "Season of Disney," which will air at 9 p.m. ET Fridays, starting April 11.

The first will be "Season of Disney: Samantha Brown's Favorites," in which she discusses what she likes best at Disney World and Disneyland.

Travel Channel offered this preview: "In the parks, she encounters wild animals on the Wanyama Safari at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, dines at the chef's table at Napa Rose Restaurant, steps inside Disneyland's Dream Suite, stops for a fruity refreshment at Tropical Imprts and watches Cirque du Soleil's 'La Nouba' acrobatic and modern dance performance."

"Season of Disney: Splurge!" premieres April 18. Disney World guests provide money-saving tips.

"Season of Disney: On a Dime" debuts April 25. Travel Channel says the program offers "a guided tour through the many extravagant amenities, activities and events."

"Season of Disney: Royal Treatment" bows May 2. At the Magic Kingdom, the program looks at a wedding and a sweet 16 party.

Wow! I wonder when this is going to make it to Oz, we're still getting her Latin America episodes...

Thanks to my disney lovin' friend at work our DVR is all set! I can't wait.

cool col ty for this I just set it to record and will not miss the other ones on fridays for a month

For those of us on the West Coast, this show is replaying at 10pm tonight, I missed the 6pm showing, so am glad they are replaying it tonight.

I wish it had just been about DL...

:sad1:

Wasn't it?

I haven't watched it yet. I DVRed it and am waiting for the kiddos to go to bed so I can watch it in peace. :rolleyes1

That's too bad if it wasn't about DL. Everything is always about WDW. I like it over there too, but it would be nice to see more on DL and DCA. Guess we are too boring. :rotfl:

It covered DLR and WDW in fairly equal portions (I wasn't keeping score) so it was refreshing in that sense.

As mentioned above it will be on again at 10pm. popcorn::

Seemed like there was more WDW stuff than DL, but it was sure neat to see some things and say, "Hey, I was standing right there two weeks ago!" llike the fruit stand right outside the Jungle Cruise; you can see Aladdin's Oasis in the background.

Never been to WDW; it was kind of neat to see all the different stuff they have there.

I just watched it! It was good! Heck, anything Disney is good in my book. :rotfl2:

And it was so nice to see spots of DL and DCA that we are all familiar with. ::yes::

I haven't been to WDW that much. Just 3 times. I think that's why I like DL so much. I grew up going there, so it's as much about the memories as it is the park itself.

Anyway, can't wait until next weeks show!! :yay:

We watched it too!! Very Good! I Was happy to the DL footage! We were just at DL so it was like seeing Home!!

loved it i am keeping it on the dvr hehe yes i said the same thing when they showed the fruit stand..hay i ate there..lol it was a good place

I seem to be in the minority - didn't like it. Same old stuff. Wished they had showed more of DL - I have never been and planning to go next year.

Well, I thought it was "alright", but not stellar. It's more than I've ever seen of Disneyland on one of those specials though. I've never been there myself. Nonetheless, it was still a bit of a change from the others we've seen, just not extraordinary, imo.
