Hi there! :cheer2:

I am new to the DIS and just thought I would introduce myself. I am Cerigirl with a DH, DD and DS and living in Wiltshire.

We have never been to WDW as a family, although I have been twice in 1988 / 1989 - so we have booked to go in September 2007. Yipeeeeeee!!

So far booked for the Radisson Worldgate with TCD, but since the DDP has become free for the same period next year, may change to Disney hotel (POR) to take advantage of this. Do you think it will be worth it? It will cost around £500 more. Can't find anyone who has stayed at Radisson Worldgate to give reviews on it. I think staying onsite would be more fun for the children. We do have a car, so could travel around and get off site easily.

Anyway, must go - nice to be here - expect loads of questions - it's been so long since I last went, so much has changed/been added!!!!! :dumbo: Bye!

:welcome: Nice to see you here! To answer your question about the resort, well I don't think I will ever go to WDW again and NOT stay on site!! It was well worth it and really when you check pricing it usually is about the same as many offiste! The ammenities and theming is wonderful all the nice Disney touches are great! DS said when we got in our room Hey Mom a hidden Mickey we sat and checked the room on the spread and giggled our heads off!

Tkae a look at the Resrt thread and on this site there is so much great info on the home page aobut the resorts honestly we were truly pleasantly surpirsed and wondered why we never did it before the pools alone are a hoot!

Happy planning and so glad you found this site it has given me ansers to all my vacation questions and answered ?s I didn't even know I had! :lmao:

welcome to the dis! :)

you'll find more info than you'll ever need here! i honestly think staying on site is SO worth the extra money, if it's in your budget. even though you'll have a car, using disney transportation at least some of the time is fun and part of the vacation. extra magic hours are wonderful too. hope you enjoy the boards!

 Welcome to the Dis :goodvibes

Welcome to the board!

Btw I wanna go to England and France one day~!

Welcome and congrats on booking your trip! DBF and I have stayed both onsite and offsite and found that the money we saved by staying offsite was spent in transportation. Since you have a car it might not be so bad for you guys but when we are vacation we like to be chauferred around! Sice you are a family of 4, the free dining might be worth it to switch to a WDW resort, but instead of upgrading all the way POR, why not just stay at a value resort? I love the All Star Movies and I am going to try and get reservations at the All Star Music or Pop Century for our next trip...just to get a feel for all of them.

Again, welcome to the DIS!
