Has anyone been to the 'Ohana with the new menu? How does it compare to the old one?

I just came back from WDW and had dinner at Ohana twice. This was my first time at Ohana so I can't compare it to the old menu. All I can say is that the food was great.

They started it off by giving us the wonton chips and shrimp wontons, and the tossed salad. I did not see the big deal with the shrimp wonons. Some people on the boards love it, but everyone in my group was just ok with it. Then came the chicken wings and the pineapple shrimp. Now these two items were the bomb. We would have been fine if the menu consisted of just these two items. A few minutes later they brought out the veggies and scalloped potatoes. Both items were very good, especially the potatoes.

I know that in the past all the items were brought out at once using a lazy susan, but I think the new way is actually better. You did not have to wait long for the other items to be brought, so it was almost like they arrived at the same time. With no lazy susan, it made it easier for everyone to have their favorite dish closer to them. If the items were on a lazy susan, it would have been spinning around all the time, since everyone had a different favorite.

As for the meats, they were all very good in my opinion. The steak had a thumbs up from everyone in my group. The turkey and pork were also good, but not at the same time. On our first dinner there, the pork was very good but the turkey was dry. The second time we went there, the pork was dry and the turkey very good. I guess it depends on who was cooking that night. The sausage, was good for me but nobody else liked them. But that is because the rest of my family likes their sausage spicy and the Ohana sausage had a sweeter flavor.

I don't know dessert was in the past, but the new dessert is very, very, very good. The flavor was a little bit like flan, but much better.

I highly recommend the new Ohana menu. I almost cancelled my ADR and I am glad I didn't.
