Thanks for all the well wishes! I'm going to be working in merchandise, but I have no idea what shop yet! I'll be sure to let you guys know. It would be lovely to have some DISers visit me on the job! :goodvibes

Please do, we can make you look good by shopping with you and telling them what a great job you are doing

Joining in on the June group here! DH has a convention in Orlando 6/23-28 so we're tagging along since his work is paying all of our RT gas, his food, and our accommodations for 6 nights :cool1: But we're going 3 nights before the thing starts and *MAYBE* staying a night after it's over as well. I just need to figure out how I'm going to handle the kids by myself for the days DH is in the convention :scratchin

50 DAYS!!!!!

party:

In celebration of the mark and getting rid of almost $1,000 in debt, I did my pre-purchase for Photopass and switched our hotel from offsite to Pop Century.

The children still have no clue.

I know I'm addicted for sure. When I called to make the reservation earlier and was on hold, "It's a Small World" started playing and I started smiling. Literally could not help myself despite the crazy amount of times we've ridden that ride. The children love it and for me, it's one of my "I'm really here" attractions.

Happy planning everyone.

Welcome to the board!! If you'd like your days added just let me know the start and finish days! (I think I figured it out from what you posted, but I would want to be sure before I posted them.)

I brought my son all by myself when he was 4. Then again when he was 5. This year he is 9 and I am taking him and his 2 year old sister solo. You will be fine!

Oh man, I hope you're right! I think it would be fine with just DD (she'll be 6 when we go) but DS is a handful. Don't get me wrong, I love him to death! He's just a lot to go anywhere in public with. He just turned 3 and is into everything and anything he can get his hands on. He hates walking next to me. I'm renting a double stroller so hopefully he'll stay in it!

That's how my DS was! And still is lol My DD is a handful, but to a lesser extent. I'm most worried about the airport and plane ride!

You will both be fine.

This will be our 3rd trip just my children and me. We first went in 2010 when dd was 7 and ds was 10 months. Then again when she was 9 and he was 2.5. In between we had a trip to Sea World when she was 8 and he was just under 2. This summer when we go she's 10 and he's 3. He has 2 speeds, full blast and sleeping it seems. Most people are amazed at all we do on our own.

If you have time do some other adventures to prepare and practice. We get out as much as we can (zoos, other parks, athletic events, etc.) And I take them to nice places to eat when I can afford it. Leading up to Disney or any trip where we'll be eating out, we usually hit a place like Applebees once a week for a month to refresh sit down restaurant behavior.

As far as plane rides, gummy bears were a big hit with my two. They were a nice treat and they were very effective on the ear pressure.

Does anyone have or plan to get a battery back for for iPhone to use at Disney. I have found a couple and trying to choose which one is best. I want one the already had a small cord or direct attachment, also do NOT want the case kind.

Do you have a pic? Not sure what you mean exactly.

I use a simple rechargeable battery operated emergency charger that I purchased off ebay. When my juice gets low I attach it and it has worked great at recharging so far.

I don't have an iPhone, but I use a Ravpower dynamo on the go 5200 for my phone, camera, and other devices and have been quite happy with it. Got it off Amazon. Can't post a link due to my low post count.

Guest Services in any park will charge your phone for you, and in MK they put in those charging stations for guests. I'm sure they will expand on that idea and bring it to the other parks as well.

I will check into this one.

I have never heard this before. I don't think I want to go stand at Guest services for 30 minutes to charge it.

The issue is that I have an iPhone 5. So the new cord is what makes it hard to find. I have found a couple of thing that I think will work. Thanks for the help

We'll be there June 1-8! Staying at POP and BCV. Can't wait!!!
