We've decided to get up at 3AM tomorrow morning, drive as hard as we can to get past the storm area (i.e., aiming to get south of the Raritan River in New Jersey by noonish). Wish us luck!
Good Luck!! Hopefully they will get you out earlier. Is that a possibility? I say if you can to add another night on and leave now. We had to do it for our trip in Feb of 2011 and it beats trying to get a flight after it all.

Tried getting an early flight tomorrow, even before they cancelled our original flight. No luck. Rescheduled the flights and got one for Monday 6:30 am.
Then I called Disney, and was told our resort (ASMu) isn't available the 11-17, so we'd have to switch (which is fine) but pay the difference, even though I have trip insurance.Going to try calling the insurance company in the morning and ask them about it before deciding what to do with the resort.
Does anyone know what happens as far as Magical Express goes? Switching days, and probably resorts, what do we do with the yellow tags? I assume we would just need to pick up our bags ourselves?

Call Travel Guard. They should reimburse you the difference. Disney wouldn't directly wave the fees because of the insurance, but you can go through them to get them back as long as it is covered. I don't know their specifics.
As far as DME, if you switch resorts just cross out the resort name on your tag. They'll scan the barcode and it will tell them your current resort.
How are the crowds there right now? We will be there in 2 days! Yay!!
