So we surprised our kiddos on Christmas day with a bit of an elaborate scavenger hunt revealing a February trip to Disney World!!

We will also surprise the kids just a few days before we leave that grandma (mil) is going with us.

We are Driving from TX on Feb. 1st, arriving off-site (Formosa Gardens) on the 2nd and staying till the 10th!!
Yes, I'm that crazy to drive with 4 kids (8,6,5 & 1), and with my MIL, all the way from TX to DW!

I know its a long shot, but I'd love to know if anyone else is driving from TX on the same days. I might need a ride

Well I can't remember our ADR's, but I will come update when I double check them.

Ahh, I am from Santa Fe (born & raised!) My MIL that is going with us is coming from Deming. That is so awesome!! We met another family from NM on our 1st trip to DW. They were from Las Cruces (a second home to me since I went to NMSU.)

I won't get ours for awhile as we don't leave until February 22. In fact when I was a participant on the August thread I was one of the last to leave. It's painful to watch everyone else leave for their trips and you sit around posting to yourself by the end I need to start booking trips earlier in the month

ETA) Oh and I just realized I am planning on calling and changing our room reservation tomorrow. We were going to Universal at the start of the trip but we've switched it to the last weekend of the trip. So I'll be lucky to get my Mickey Mail on time at all!

I ordered some Princess dresses & received on Christmas Eve. Place in Princess luggage. DD loved that the suitcase already had clothes in it. She still doesn't know the exact date going. I love a GOOD sale. $189 Heys Princess Rolling Suitcase for $35. Yeah, me!

Check-in 2/2. So hopefully mine will be here any day now.

We can just post to each other! We don't leave until the 25th! It seems I always leave at the end of the month too! Weird. I just go by cheapest flights. Ha.

Only 34 more days until I'm at Disney World!! Yayyy!! I don't want to start packing until I see what the weather is going to be like. We'll be gone for a total of 2 weeks. 9 days in Disney and 4 days in Palm Coast to see family. I can't wait. Is there a fast forward button I can use to speed things along?? Lmao =)

Pocohontis,
We're in southern Colorado. Abq is our closest major airport. I didnt want to run the risk of flying out of our little airport to Denver in case of a snowstorm. It's worth driving 3.5 hrs, saved $400, and less chance of bad weather. and it adds a day to our vacation. we've only flown in and out of ABQ, never had the chance to explore it. Going to "old town" area.

Well it happened, I was forced over to the new website. I linked my reservation and noticed the dining plan said 2 QS and it should have read 1 QS and 1TS. Panicking I called and they reassured me in the system it is correct. I spent all the time linking my dining reservations and when i went back they are all missing again. Oh well at least I have the numbers.

I spent time the last two days trying to link all my reservations, too. For some reason our reservation at 'Ohana's just will not show up. I gave my family members avatars and tried to add them to our dining reservations. The reservation for Hoop Dee Doo review is for four adults and two children, but the list of people to add is for three adults and three children - crazy!

And the mobile app for my iPhone will not show the reservations that I put in. I don't know why I am bothering with it. I should wait until the website is fixed. But I'm just too excited about the trip. Only 38 days away.

We are coming from Texas but flying. Don't want to waste valuable vacation time driving, and a bit worried our old Kia might need a bit of work on the way! We are booked at Pop Feb 1-7. I'm still working long hours so I can book my plane tickets next week. Today is my off day but I'm working 1:30 to 11:30 pm anyways. Trying to decide whether paying a couple hundred bucks more so we arrive at 1 pm instead of 4:45 is worth it. We will do Epcot EMH til 11 on Friday. Southwest emailed a code for $75 off but am broke after PIF my package. Was only good within 48 hrs of Xmas. Hoping there will be another offer next week. We like southwest as baggage is included, and we have had good luck with their timeliness. $200 would keep me in expensive fru-fru drinks with magic ice cubes for the week! Was looking at another thread on this forum where someone was miffed they'd only save $184 on their multi thousand dollar stay. It's all relative... Don't resent the folks who stay at the deluxe resorts; I feel lucky I have a job now that lets me stay in a value resort instead of a tent like my last visit! Yippee! Hot running water and a CS meal plan so I can order any dessert I like! (I had a terrific time in the tent in 1988 btw.)
