She stood back up straightening her scarf around her neck and pulling up her gloves. She glanced to her right and noticed an angel sitting in the distance. "You don't suppose they've done some work on the place have you?" Kayla said walking towards the statue up ahead. "I don't remember that being there before, it is quite a nice piece though." she added the wind blowing her hair lightly.
------
Olivia followed her gaze and she nodded in agreement. "Yes, it brings a... Fresher look to this place, I suppose." She replied, lacking a better word for the weeping angel in the distance. As she turned her gaze away, a frown flashed over her face. That fifth angel had moved... Or so it seemed. She could have sworn that it was closer by the tree, but now it moved away towards them. "I doubt the wind will. It's not that strong today. Just a bit cold," She added after a moment of silence, walking towards the other statue.
To make sure her eyes weren't playing tricks, she looked one way then she looked back at the angel, her body jumping slightly. "What the heck?" She murmured under her breath, seeing the angel. The hands had moved. One was outstretched, while the other had placed itself over its eyes. "Uh... Kayla, have you ever heard of moving angels?" She questioned, laughing faintly at herself despite the fear that was slowly developing. She did it again, just to make sure. Then a scream past her lips at the sight of the angel right in front of her, its mouth opened, revealing fangs and its eyes narrowed and hands outstretched towards her. "Shoot"
----
"Moving..." Kayla's voice was a whisper as she stared at the statue ahead. She turned around quickly as she heard Olivia's scream behind her. "Oh my gosh." Kayla's face went pale as she turned to see another angel standing crouched over Olivia like a tiger. "Where in the heck did that come from?!" Kayla yelled running to her friend quickly, her stomach churning. "That wasn't there before, how did it get there..." she said reaching her hand up towards the grey stone and sweeping her hand across it's surface.
"It's stone, how did it..." Kayla ventured off as she tried lifting the angel, but hardly rocked it before giving up. She let go to an exhausting breath as she frowned and looked up at the detailed teeth and design. Her heart dropped as she turned quickly back to look at the space where the last angel was. It had disappeared, and was no longer in the place it once stood. "Ok, this is seriously creepy. That doesn't happen, it had to have been a couple of the guys. Maybe they were trying to scare us or something?"
--------------
Olivia's heart thudded loudly in her chest as she stared up at the angel statue. "Oh my gosh..." She didn't take her eyes off the angel, too afraid to look away. Regaining her senses, she began to think more clearly. She began to voice her thoughts outloud. "Kayla, the guys aren't that smart. Come on... Besides, they just texted me a few minutes ago to come and play video games...." She trailed off, reaching up and touching the angel's cheek before quickly removing her hand. It was normal stone; Cold, hard, rough, and non-moving.
"Kayla, whatever you do. Do not take your eyes off the statues. There's five... Keep your eyes on them." Olivia whispered, taking Kayla's hand and beginning to slowly back up away from the statue. All they needed to do was get to the car. Then they were safe. Maybe it was the guys, but she highly doubt it. Her mind screamed at her for her to turn around and run, but she kept calm, moving away slowly.
The ----- seperates it.
That's the part after what I posted yesterday.
We have much more, but I thought it'd be easier to keep going from what I put last time so you weren't confused. xD
Sorry, it's kinda long.
