***NEW MyMagic & FastPass+ Official Information & FAQ Thread***

You may remember one of my issues was that my PAP and son's were reversed in MDE. After three phone calls and 2 weeks, DVC left a message that the card #s had been reversed and corrected. Great. Except when I log into MDE they are NOT corrected and they are simply now turned " off" ( made inactive). Can you see me rolling my eyes?!?!?
 
Hi folks :flower3:- Ok - Monday is my 60 day mark for my stay and I have not been able to customize my mb yet :coffee:....question:
1) Has anyone w/Dec check in been able to get mb yet?
2) Those who have gone - with all the parks now getting mb and fp selections - are the lines really much shorter?

I check in on Dec 6 and I'm not sure if Dec has been opened yet???

We are also there the first week of Dec and cannot make FP nor do we have MB. I was on the phone with a CM regarding our visit so I asked about this too. I was told that Dec falls outside the test dates and since MB and FP+ have not been permanently implemented we in Dec haven't been offered that option. Her guess was that it will be permanent and said to try back at 28 days out. I don't know what the significance of 28 days might be. We have one person in our party that has a MB from an earlier visit and she can make a FP but this CM said that any FP made now may not be available in Dec and advised waiting until that 28th day as well. We intended to keep checking MDE frequently until it's there!! Hopefully before expected!! :-)
 

I don't get why they keep sticking to this line about "you have to be invited!" There is nothing on MDE about getting an invitation. The links on the site are active and functional, for the most part. If this magical invitation is so crucial why is there nothing about it on the site? Unless someone is tied into a message board like the DIS how are they ever even supposed to know about this magical invitation?

If I end up having to call IT (thankfully so far I haven't had a need) and they give me the invitation speech I'm going to play dumb and ask "what invitation? There's nothing on the website about an invitation and the site said to customize my MB's ..."

It annoys me that they are trying to blame their guests for all of these problems when they have had the ability to control access if they wanted. I don't believe the "invitation" is the issue and they should stop using it as an excuse.

And is the CM saying that any FP+'s made before your "invitation" is issued aren't valid & won't stick? and if you receive an invitation you need to go back in and try to redo everything?! I find that hard to believe and if that's the case I'll be ticked (eg. if we get to the parks & our FP+s don't work or we lose them & don't get our times back). Why not block a user from using the system if their invitation hasn't been issued if this is the case? Haven't there been several people who say they never ended up receiving the invitation but they still used FP+?

I made our reservation for Oct on Sept 14 and was able to customize my magic bands immediately and make my FP+ selections. On Sept 17 I got an email saying my magic bands had shipped and then later on the same day I received and email inviting me to participate in the test and telling me how to customize my magic bands. Then 2 days after I received the MBs I received the overnight letter with the invitation. :confused3 Then I continued to receive reminder emails telling me to link my reservation and customize my MBs. The deadline was Oct 4, so with all this information (or misinformation) flying around, I'm waiting to see if my FP+ disappear. It's crazy! How much money is Disney wasting sending out overnight emails to people who have already received their MBs, I wonder?

Ok, since fastpass+ isn't working for me for part of my trip, I was wondering a couple things.
First, if I ask at check in at the hotel, will they be able to help me with getting fastpasses arranged then?
Second, If they can, what are the chances of getting good times for rides at Magic Kingdom 3 days later? The rides in question are Potc, Jungle cruise, and Space Mountain. (we would be there on a Wednesday)

Not sure about your second question, but as far as the resort assisting with FP+...the concierge can assist. The Pop concierge desk has helped me the past couple of days to get FPs copied over to others in my party and printed out my FP+ schedules (with a Disney stamp/mark on the printout. They said show the CM the printout in case I had issues at the park, which I didn't.)

I have had issues with my FP+s and the resort has been very helpful. No one has said, "well this is just a test" They have been very patient and accommodating. Good luck! :)
 
Couple questions -we are arriving 10/11 and it says our magic band will be picked up at the resort.what will we use to get on magical express ?
Second can we link our 5 day park hoppers we purchased from AAA?

As far as getting on the magical express, you should have been sent luggage tags and a little booklet. The luggage tags get your luggage picked up, and I think the booklet says to present it at the bus. The booklet also has coupons and other info, like your flight info, how to find the bus, and your resort info.
Our park hopper tickets from AAA shows up on our MDE account, but I don't think they're linked to our MBs yet but they get linked at hotel check in. We definitely didn't receive anything ticket-like in the mail, but our packet says that we have the 4-day park hopper...

Although it is YMMV. I check in on 11/29, and I was able to customize 65 days out, some people with check-ins before mine weren't able to customize. I think it probably has a good deal to do with what resort you're staying at. We're at POR, which I believe is why I was able to do my MB at 65 days. I'm pretty sure even at 60 days you should be able to do FP+ regardless of if you've customized your MB, but I could be wrong.

You might also want to try calling Disney and seeing if they can help if you haven't already. While not a busy time, you might not get ride times that are convenient for you, especially if you have dining reservations.
 
Here today at AK. Able to use paper UT ticket and KTTW card to pull fast pass-. Entered park with paper UT ticket. Using MB for fastpass+. No issues. Our day 1 of 8. MK tomorrow. UT ticket is linked on MDE.

Have you been able to use the MDE app or a kiosk to schedule additional FP+ while in the park? Just wondering if more people have been able to do this, or is this still a "glitch" for some.
 
Thanks. I think i'll send them an email. Actually the only ride that I want in particular is Potc. I'd like a couple of others like Space Mountain and Thunder Mountain, but I love potc, been my favorite since I was a kid.

No, I didn't cancel any dining reservations. I was just trying to switch my fastpass from Mission Space to Epcot Character Spot at the same time that it was already booked. When I first booked our fastpasses, Epcot Character Spot didn't show up as an option (I wanted to take my DD(2) there while my DS and DH went on Mission Space). But, a few days later it just showed up. So, I was able to switch it. But, on another note, I WAS able to book some fastpasses with overlapping times to our dining reservations (ex. have a fastpass for 11:05-12:05 and a dining reservation for 12:00). It does tell me that there is an overlap in time. But, it still let me make the fastpass reservation.

This is interesting...I was told that I should check back at 28 days too, when I spoke to a CM on the phone. However, at my 60 day mark (about a week and a half ago), I was able to make MB choices and FP+ reservations. Granted, we check in at the end of November. But, our stay is through December 6 and I was able to make FP+ selections all the way through to that date. I sure hope they don't, at some point, erase them from my MDE page. I spent a few days tweaking them to be just right!! :confused3 Just in case, I did take screen shots of each day's fastpass selections!
