I am wondering why on Dec 4 there is not an "advanced" price for the event? Does anyone know?
I know that afternoon begins the parade taping but it will be over for the party. So why is that night not discounted if you order ahead of time?

Please, this is suppose to be our party night. But I have to admit it has me spooked as to why it isn't discounted.

Any insight is appreciated. TIA

Disney started charging more for certain nights a few years ago. It was nights they thought were more popular and that people would pay more for. It's usually Fridays and nights near a holiday, and the last one but I'm not sure of the reason for all of their choices on which to charge more for. :confused3

But I do know it has nothing to do with the parade taping in the afternoon. That will have no effect on the party. :thumbsup2

Thank you. I thought it might be because it would be a more popular day to go seeing the taping was that day. More people in the park, more chance people want to stay for the party.

Dang, I was hoping to go on a less popular night. Oh well.

That's not the only night for no discount. Friday nights in December usually sellout.

Discount not available Nov 29, Dec 4, 11, 17-18.

There are seldom discounts on the nights I've been. I'm there for 12 days this Dec so was able to snag one ticket at the DVC discounted price and two others at the advanced purchase price. But, Disney usually knows when attendence is going to be up, so they don't need to offer a discount.
For instance, when MouseFest was up and running, there was never a discount offered. Disney knew when we would be there, so kept the prices at a regular price. Drove me nuts for years.

Friday parties are among the busiest.

So with Fridays being the busiest is it a wash? I mean is it so crowded that wait times for rides are extreme without FP, or wall to wall people?

Most people who go to the parties, that I have seen, go for the exclusive stuff, like the shows. The rides will not be affected that much by a sold out party but anywhere that there is a show will likely be a crowded area, especially main street. They do limit the number of tickets they sell.

Agreed. If you're planning to see the parade or Mickey's 'Twas the Night Before Christmas, get there early. Last year we were at the first MVMCP, not sold out, and it was standing room only for the 8PM Night Before Christmas show.

Thanks for the input. I think we are just planning on the parade and the fireworks then taking advantage of riding the attractions. Not to concerned with seeing any shows.
It also is more of a reason that it is our last night at DW and we love to finish with it being in MK. We love to sit in front of the castle and just "BE" after the fireworks. It is very romantic and we find it refreshes us for the trip home. (silly I know pay an extra $100 to just relax but hey it is tradition) :cloud9:
