New Monsieur Paul cancellation policy--WOW!

I think that goes along with what I said above. They’d blocked out a table for 4, but when only 2 showed up, they lost 2 dinners they couldn’t then make up. If it been a party of 4 and 3 showed up, maybe it might have been different because a table for 3 and 4 is the same...not for 2 and 4
I mentioned this on another thread and was thrashed by many.
 
Per Se- I love that restaurant. We like to eat there before we head out for overseas vacations. V & A's is no Per Se either, in my opinion.

Oh 100%. We were there over the summer for a special occasion - I sometimes just pull out the printed menu and think about how amazing it was.

V & A service was amazing - and food was v v good. But not on the same level.

Disney is like any other business. There are many people who aren’t willing to pay the penalty or the price of dinner, and that‘s their right, their choice. But, many other people have no issue with this, so I think MP will do just fine.

Well, it's a starting place for sure.

This restaurant is not Disney owned and I wouldn't be too quick to apply Disney customer service on cancel/no shows to them. They are part of a high end restaurant group, I'm sure shop almost daily for ingredients and no shows are probably very costly. If I were to book it for sure it would be exact number going.

We have to remember that most Epcot restaurants are not owned by Disney and have their own set of rules. Take that into consideration when booking.

Personally, I have no issue with it because of the type of restaurant it is. There are plenty of "entertainment/dining" experiences that are no refunds and I just toss that in that category.

Actually love to see more of this, Disney itself hasn't taken the time to set up an ADR system that prevents people from booking multiple rez over the same time period or having different members book different rez and no show or cancel the ones they can't or won't make.
I'd prefer users to be locked into one and require the names of each guest and have them locked out as well.
 
I see the price is actually $195 per person plus tax and tip. That does not include any drink pairings.
 
Sorry to be so vague…I just remember reading that NO Show & wanted to remind people to always read the fine print.

Recently needed to make a reservation for All Stars and the entire payment was required . I’m used to paying a one night deposit with WDW … so I backed out and just booked one night instead .
But it was something different and caught my attention.
I know this is standard for the WDW Travel Company but not for just a room reservation.
NowadaysWho knows .
I also started to notice a 6 night cancel penalty versus the traditional 5 night .
Remember when it was Day of before 6 p.m. ….?

Was it a last minute reservation? I recently booked a week at ASM for this coming December and paid the normal 1 night deposit and have the normal 5 day prior cancellation window to receive a full refund of the deposit.

Funny about that....
Most of us locals have our own transportation and we aren't stuck in a bubble forced to pay extremely high prices for less than excellent meals. You all enjoy those Disney meals. I'm good not going on property at all. 👍
 
Until one of you comes down with a violent case of stomach flu or food poisoning the day of your reservation.
We also have experience with this and they always have been very understanding. Even when we called an hour before a dining reservation to cancel due to a stomach bug starting but didn’t want to cancel further into the week because we weren’t sure what we were dealing with.

And no questions asked when we called the next day to cancel further reservations when we realized it was more then just a too much ice cream belly ache 😬
 
I recently read reports that the cancel policy has been changed in other ways.
Somebody posted they arrived and had a reservation for 4 but only 2 needed and they were charged a No show for the 2 no shows.
I guess read all the fine print before you agree since they have credit card info.
Can you point to the post? Was it something like V&A or something like Nine Dragons? Disney has been very steady in as long as someone shows up for the ADR no cancellation fee applies.

I don’t know what thread it was in, but the one I read was at Rose & Crown for one of the special dining packages. Don’t remember if it was
F & W or fireworks.

I think that its being a special dining package is the key. I’ve read several reports recently now of people being charged for the full reserved number for Harmonious dining packages. I’ve also read of people having to book a larger party than desired and then call the Dining line to modify down to the actual number wanted.

If the system would allow people to book for the number they want, instead of saying no tables for 1 or 2 but lots of tables for 4, or no tables for 5 but lots of tables for 6, we wouldn’t have this issue. :badpc:
