New Monorail Sighted

A friend told me that over the wknd he saw them testing monorail orange. I was told it still has the full windows (stuffy)... can anyone confirm?

I personally saw it this weekend and I think it's the most beautiful of the 3!!!

I am quite partial to orange, but this was exceptional!!!!! They were testing it in the early afternoon up until right before the 3:30 parade.

They say that the new cars will have windows that go up and down.
Someone said that because of the old style of track that the monorails cannot get enough power to have AC unlike their newer counter parts in WDW.

As far as the windows go, looking at the current Monorails it would requre a lot of fab work to get them to go up and down in the same way as the last gen monorails....

Whoever designed this generation of monorails should have looked at the past gen, ac and windows that functioned.

The up and down is more of a ventilation style - technically like the push out hinged window on an automobile (like my Honda Element rear seat windows. How they are going to attractively convert that type to a build that goes to the interior of the body wall certainly a costly problem to figure out.

That was me that gave the info about the beamway power supply. Got that directly from someone who works directly with the system. (I have also personally spent a lot of time in WDW's monorail barn/train shed - have a friend who managed that area.)
