New Monitor

Finally had enough of our old 17" CRT monitor so have splashed out on a new 19" widescreen TFT monitor

It's so sharp compared to my old monitor and is not affected by the sun and glare like my old one (PC is in our conservatory).
I've been looking at all my holiday photos again - they look so much better now

The wide screen format is useful as I can have two windows opened and have enough space to see and work on both

Sounds cool Tim, we've got a 20" widesreen iMac and it is much better than our standard screens and certainly better tha n the 14" screen on the iBook.

Im currently waiting in for CityLink to deliver a 19" W/S TFT monitor to me
Although Im wanting it for dual-desktop use rather than to replace my CRT.
I really don't like TFT monitors and would have much prefered a new CRT, but theres no way my desk would fit 2 of them.

...and now its arrived, Ive realised why Ive resisted getting one for so long.
Great for normal windows applications, but utterly horrible for games. The one I got was a 5ms refresh rate model, so should in theory have been pretty good...but with the crt model side by side, its quite obviously a smeary load of rubbish.
