New "Mom's to Be" Thread!

Here is some pixie dust for you Amie!!!

Thanks! I will take all that I can get.

That's wonderful! How are you feeling?

I am feeling pretty good, actually. When I walk the dog at night, I definitely have some contractions that slow me down. Of course, they stop as soon as I come home :headache: . The weather has been mild (until today) so I can't complain too much. I am just ready to be able to move around unencumbered. I want my body back.

That would drive me nuts! While walking, they'd be so consistent and the minute you walk in the door, poof:wizard: gone!:sad2:

Not much longer now. You'll probably be giving birth while I'm in Disney. We'll have our laptop, so I'll be checking every night waiting to see!:surfweb:

Just wanted to say hi to you all.
Lisa, have a WONDERFUL time at the world.
We are going in April and I have not been too great at planning yet.
Question...would you take the 10:15 flight at $465 or the 7:00 am flight at $390? We are leaning toward the later, due to having a 3 DD's age 6,4 and then 2 months...but it kills me to spend the extra $$ ;)
We are already going to be at a hotel the night before b/c we live 2+ hours from Minneapolis.

This really doesn't relate but I just had to tell this. My son-in-laws name is OK, and he is a second. No middle name, just OK. He was the third son so we just figured when he was born, his parents just looked at him and said "yep, he looks OK" :rotfl: and it stuck. If their little girl had been a boy, he would have been Nicholas OK. Strangest name I have ever heard.

That is too funny. My mom was afriad his name was going to be baby boy...so she has been calling him B.B. :rotfl: He has a name now. We think unless something else comes up that we really like but for now he is Caleb Alan.

Thank you so much! I really need a vacation.

As far as your flights go, I have always found them to be cheapest at somewhere around the 6 month mark. Are those prices each?:scared1:

How cute! That is a wonderful name!:goodvibes

Oh my gosh, ladies. I am miserable. I am throwing up constantly - I have lost 8 pounds since July 11th. I go to the doctor tomorrow morning, I am hoping that he can give me SOMETHING, ANYTHING to help combat the vomitting.

Also, I am tired non-stop. Now, this is my third pregnancy so this should all be old hat to me, but I don't remember being THIS tired. I mean I go to sleep with my pre-schoolers every night at like 7:30!!!! and the rare times that I stay up, I am fighting with myself to stay awake and usually end up falling asleep on the couch anyway!!!!!

Your doc can absolutely give you something to help you stop vomiting. Good luck tomorrow.

I was super tired this pregnancy also. I think it's because I was so busy chasing after the other 2 that I was ready to crash at night with them.

Ultrasound and doctors appointment tomorrow. Cross your fingers he measures big so I can evict him from my uterus. ;)

Hi All!

My name is Lauren and I am 10 weeks pregnant with #2 (I have a 10 year old son who is the apple of my eye)! My due date is March 16th...

I have a pre-existing thyroid problem, had 2 miscarriages and I am 37 so I am considered semi high risk but all seems A-OK so far. We had our first ultrasound a couple weeks ago and we heard and saw a strong heartbeat. I have an appointment with a high risk specialist this coming Wed and an amnio scheduled for 10/1.

Congratulations to all of you...I am super excited to finally be able to post here!

Hey, Lauren!! Best of luck with your upcoming appt. You and I are similar -- 2nd baby, miscarriage, 38 yrs old, due in March. I go to my first OB appt (previous has been fertility doc) tomorrow.

I look forward to following pregnancies with everyone here, but esp the March babies!

Oh, have fun with that! We did ours at 28 weeks and it was so amazing. We really had a blast.

You'll have to post a picture!!!

Ok, I simply cannot wait to get a 3d sonogram...but we have time. Will you please post your 3d pic? I'd really love to see what they look like? Also, do you mind saying approx how much it costs? I know our insurance won't pay for it.

OB Doc says all is good. I can choose to do VBAC or c-section...my choice. So I need to do some research on this.

Thought I'd post a 9wk sonogram to introduce baby marshay to all of you!

His/her head is downward and you can see 1 arm and 2 feet (we saw the other arm in a different angle!)

What a cute baby already!;)

I just realized where I've seen you on here before. Your resort photo sessions turned out so nice! I don't know which ones I liked best! Your daughter is adorable too!:goodvibes

I know this is different for everyone but just wanted to get an idea. I am only 11 weeks and a few people have already made mention of my "belly." i really haven't gained any weight yet- actually i am still about 2lbs down from my pre-pregnancy weight. it kinda just looks like i had a few too many cheese burgers lately (even though i don't eat meat!)

how about everyone else?

Ultrasound went great today. All parts are in order and functioning properly. The scary part is the measurement. They are measuring him at 7 pounds already!!!!!! ACK, I still have 4 weeks to go......

I'll keep you posted.

If it makes you feel any better, when I was 35 weeks, DS#2 measured at 8 lbs 2 oz on my high-risk dr's high-tech machine. When he was induced a few days before my due date (because I was terrified how big he'd be), he weighed in at 8 lbs 2 1/2 oz. Those machines aren't always right.

This time I refuse to get induced because of a weight scare. DS#2 had a very large head and came out with head and hand at the same time:scared1: ......no weight scares me now;) !

Nobody's really said anything, but I am overweight, so people might be afraid to mention it. :rotfl: But with other women, it's probably just easier to tell. I just started wearing maternity pants this week. I also lost a bit of weight at the beginning--even though I didn't have very much morning sickness, I just didn't want food.

And hello to a fellow veggie! :thumbsup2 One of my co-workers keeps asking me if I have any food cravings, and I know what she's really asking. One of her friends was a vegetarian until she got pregnant and then craved meat--I think she believes that vegetarians, deep down, just want a steak. But I have a friend who was just the opposite, ate meat and then didn't want any of it when she got pregnant. Not even fake meat. It made her want to puke.

Many thanks! Yeah, we did the Grand Floridian and the Polynesian Photopass sessions. I highly recommend them!

I definitely feel very big, like my stomach is just dropping! I need to go out and get maternity clothes...right now just wearing XL shorts. Gained 5 pounds already at 9.5 weeks...

Well, if that is correct, then you are heading for a big, healthy baby!!

My DD was born at 37 weeks at 8 lbs, 5 oz. -- I didn't need anymore than that!:rotfl2:
