Has the new show at MGM started yet? They were building a bank robber stunt show if I remember right, has anyone seen it? Is it operating?

It will open 5/5/2005. The 50th anniversary of the DL opening..

The beginning of the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Disneyland's opening. Disneyland actually opened 7/17/55.

Captain, are you talking about the stunt car show from DL Paris (motors/action)???? We were there last week and they talk about it when you take the backlot tour. A huge stadium, complete with restrooms at the entrance, is already built and looks close to being ready. I think the show does open in the spring, looks like it will be fun!

I am not going to put spoilers out or anything, but I have seen the show in Paris twice now and I am not over impressed. Not to say it isn't a success (people are queing like Fantasmic to get in), it just doesn't have the magic for me. I got bored waiting for the next bit and it really didn't hold my kids' attention.
I think if you are a James Bond fan or Fast and Furious fan, maybe you'll be ok, but for me I was waiting for it to end.
We'll have to wait for soft openings to see what everyone thinks. By all means experience it once but don't build this show up, then you won't be dissapointed.
Just my 2 cent worth.

It is part of the backlot tour. we heard it this summer as the tram passed the old "Hunchback" stage area. Our family wasn't too excited to hear about it--sounds similar to a stunt show that used to be at Chicago's Great America.
My question is: So what ties this into Disney??

I believe Ei$ner was a stunt bootlegger in his youth, but I could be wrong ;)

It figures.....sure doesn't appeal to me when they begin placing major attractions that are not Disney related.
The Osbourne Light Show is one thing; a motorcycle stunt show from Paris is another!

Last week the scenery fronts were built, the stadium was under construction and crews were pouring cement. Some stunt crews were already pre-testing certain areas.

Someone asked, "What does this have to do with Disney?" It doesn't have anything less to do with Disney than does the entire MGM theme, or the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular (hey, my wife was one of their chosen extras last week!). But people who've come back from Paris report that it's a wonderful show and that its theme is film stunts, not just motorcycle riding.

I have also seen this in Paris and thought it was great. Much better than IJ.

We also saw this show in Paris and all I can say is WOW!!!! Itis a great show-however after you see it once I think the thrill factor will be gone-time will tell!
