I tried to find info in the new place that took over Cantina's spot. I found that it should open around 9/24. Anyone know anything about when they open bookings? I used to love getting CS at the Cantina. Is there no longer going to be a CS Mexican option at all?

La Hacienda de San Angel has not yet officially announced an opening date. Until then, the reservation opening date will also be unknown. (Although 9/24 sounds reasonable for soft opening).

As for La Cantina, it will also be reopening at the same time. Hacienda will be a TS open for dinner only and Cantina will remain a CS open for Lunch and Dinner. They will simply share the same building on the location where Cantina once stood.

I am currently booked w/ free dining, but hate the restrictions of the dining plan. In Epcot there are so many good CS locations too. I am just trying to weigh my options and see if the 40% room discount and no DDP will work better for us. Definitely looking forward to eating at Cantina!
