I just had the chicken dinner a couple weeks ago during our night at the
MNSSHP.
There was a CM standing outside Pecos trying to get people in (it was dead inside) and he had the regular menu to show people and a big billboard sitting next to him with the chicken dinner picture on it.
It is a big dinner. It is about $8.69 and includes a HUGE country style breaded chicken breast. It is boneless but is real chicken, not a shredded filler based patty. There was also a huge pile of mashed potatoes with it and a piece of corn on the cob. There is also a country style cream type gravy over it. We went to the fixin's bar and added sauteed mushrooms and onions and made a little side salad as well (The CM gave us a little plate to get more side toppings...nice people). The corn wasn't the greatest. I'm pretty sure it was frozen corn on the cob because the texture wasn't as fresh and crisp as the fresh.
We were on
free dining and it was 1 CS credit plus we got a large iced tea and a yogurt (they also had cake for dessert). Hubby and I split the dinner and still didn't finish it all.
My Dad got is own meal and our friend who was with us also got his own meal. Neither of them finished it either. Definitely a sharing type of meal.
The funny thing about it was we were dressed for the party as Peter Pan, Wendy Darling, and John Darling. When we left, the CM who was outside trying to get people in asked if we liked it. Our friend dressed as Peter said it was great and the CM said "good, now you have a new happy thought to fly".
HYSTERICAL!
