MY WIFE & I JUST PURCHASED A RESALE AT THE BOARDWALK AND I'M CONCERNED ABOUT THE DIFFICULTY OF GETTING THE TIME PERIOD WE WOULD LIKE. WHAT I WANT TO KNOW IS THAT I WANTED A SUN-THUR RESERVATION AT EITHER OKW OR BW IN SEPT OR JAN OR MAY HOW DIFFICULT WOULD THAT BE. WE ARE PLANNING ON USING OUR 150 PTS IN THAT WAY.

Welcome Home!!!! I've been a member at OKW since 1992, and have never had a problem booking rooms at OKW as late as 5 weeks from my arrival date, but I usually book during my 11 month window (I'm trying to decide on some June 2003 dates, now).
The key is to plan ahead and book as early as possible. Try to avoid holiday weekends, like MLK in January or Memorial Day in May, Labor Day in Sept. and you should be able to book OKW. Just to be safe, though, I would book at my home resort as early as possible, and try switching to OKW at the 7 month window - that way you'll be sure to have a room, just in case OKW does happen to be booked.

Congrats on your purchase! I'm not sure what you mean by either Sept, Jan or May. I am assuming you are planning a trip for one of these months, but your DVC membership doesn't limit you to selecting a SUN-THURS "window" in one of those months. You need to call member services and make your reservations just as if you were calling for hotel reservations. If you are asking will I be closed out of my resort because it is now Oct and I only have a few moths until Jan., well there are other DVC options at WDW that may have availability and the same point values as your Boardwalk (so that you don't burn thru your 150pts with less days at WDW), in some cses like Old Key West I think you can get more out of your 150 points than at Boardwalk.

If you own points/membership at the Boardwalk (i.e. your home resort), you can book a vacation there up to 11 months in advance. You can book at other DVC resorts only 7 months in advance. I hope I interpreted your question correctly, but it seemed like you thought you had to choose a week (Sun-Thur) in one of those months and that's it. That is entirely NOT the case. You need to get your hands on a member guidebook and read it cover to cover, or better yet the DVC Sales Video.

Hope I was able to help and that I read your question correctly.
