New Member w/ question

We are closing on our DVC purchase on Feb 1st. We are hoping to go to Hilton Head over Easter weekend. Is there a way I can find out if they have availabilty before we close? I don't have any member number or anything yet, I just want to know if I can make plans for this trip or if I need to find another trip for us to take.

Did you purchase directly from Disney or a resale?

If you purchased through DVC, I think you can make reservations immediately -as soon as you're in the system (maybe a day or so). You do not have to wait until closing. That being said, I would think Easter would be tough but you could try waitlisting - you never know.

I guess you are going through resale- I am on the waitlist for Mar. 22 (night before Easter) for a studio. I called about 2 weeks ago to add this night to my trip. They didn't have any studios but they did have a 1 bdrm. So - I am not sure what size unit you want, but I do know there are no studios for 3-22, but 2 weeks ago they had at least 1-1 bdrm for that night.

FYI- My waitlist for a studio for March 22 just came through- and I actually turned it down (I got a hotel for that night already). So you actually may get lucky and find room at the inn. Good luck- I hope it works out for you.
