We just bought DVC, and we already had a trip rented for Sept. Can I call member services to make our adrs even though the ressie isn't under our account? This is getting more and more complicated - lol!

No, you don't actually "own" that reservation, since it was made and is owned by the person you rented from. Instead, why don't you just call the regular WDW-DINE number. YOu can use your reservation number for the ADRs anyway, and you can call at 7 AM instead of 9 AM if you were using MS.
 
Unless you need a toll free number, we always call wdw-dine. Better hours and less mistakes.

I'm sure you can. ADR's have never been limited to just owned DVC stays for a member. You could be staying on cash at CBR and still use MS if you wanted. But I agree with using the WDW Dine number as first choice.
