New member question re AP

Hi there- we are new owners and I am looking at buying the AP at DVC member prices ($485). We will be in WDW in March, which means I have to make my FP selections in about 3 weeks. My question is how often does DVC offer AP discounts and is it predictable/seasonal (ie new year offers ?) Just wondering if anyone feels new discounts may be around the corner or does the fact that AP is already discounted preclude another AP/PAP offer.
My worst case scenario is I drop $1500 for 3 passes in next two weeks only to see there is a new/better sale after my purchase!

for AP discounts, it's been pretty reliable for a long time. (but it could go away at any time.)

for the PAP, not predictable at all. there has been a PAP special offer twice in the last few years with nothing for the decade before that.

i would just get the regular AP discount and not worry about it. (unless you really, really want the extra water park benefit from the PAP, i suppose.)

I went ahead and bought my AP (voucher) for next year. The last price increase was February 23, 2014 so I wouldn't be surprised to see a price increase around the corner.

Thanks to both of you- that's exactly what I was looking for- looks like I'll take the plunge for the AP now.
