New Member Question-Annual dues

I just joined in May with a December use year. When do we find out how much our annual dues will be for 2007? I just wanted to have an idea how much will be coming out of the account on Jan 1.

The statement listing the proposed budget for 2007 was received by most before Thanksgiving. 2007 dues are estimated at $4.12 per point. There were substantial increases in the estimated property taxes for '07, meaning that the '06 taxes were also probably higher than originally projected. If so, we'll also be expected to pay the difference between the estimated and actual taxes for '06.

You should receive a statement from member accounting before Christmas with the final numbers.

If this year is as the past, the first withdrawal for 2007 dues will not be made until later in the month. I am not sure how they handle it if your dues are being paid monthly on the 1st. Maybe someone else can help with that. If you are paying in one lump sum, the due date is also later in the month.

well, as a "new" member, this will be my first full year with DVC. ive also got a question (one i could probably ask member services, but i wanna know asap, and you guys know whats going on as much as they do). are annual payments due in the month of your UY? for example, a march use year would be billed for annual dues in march?

No. Annual dues are billed on a calendar year basis for all members. If paying in a lump sum, they are due by January 15th annually.

You should have a bill before the end of the year--probably just in time to put a damper on your Christmas.
