New member looking for support group for Fort Addiction

WELCOME!!!! I don't think there actually is a cure for this! Come on, do you really want one? ;)

This forum is great for passing the time and lessoning the Disney Fort Blues when we can't be there, though! It's a great mix of people who are all in the same boat!
As long as it's the Mermaid I heading to the Magic Kingdom :thumbsup2

Hello, my name is Bruce and it's been one month since my last trip to the Fort....I can't sleep at night... I find myself daydreaming about golf carts.....and miss the sounds(beep/beep/beep) of the Fort buses loading and unloading......trying to hold on to my sanity and get reservations!!!:goodvibes

Bruce, I glad to know that I am not alone. The first step is admitting that we have a problem. The next is to pick up the phone and call 407-WDISNEY. There should be someone on the other end to help you walk through the remaining steps. This always seems to help me to get through those feelings of Fort withdrawal. Just knowing there is another reservation helps keeps most of your sanity.

Welcome. I've lurked for quite a while before and after joining and I can say with confidence that the information, ideas and knowlege is top-notch on these boards. There are worse things to be addicted to! Enjoy!

There is no cure for Ft. Wilderness addiction...only treatment. I'm not a doctor, but I play one on tv, and I can prescribe the following:

1. Come to the Disboards as often as you can;
2. Seek out photos posted here to give you a temporary "memory fix";
3. Ask others here to "entertain" you by asking for more stories, posts, pictures, etc.;
4. What you can't find here...go to youtube. Look up videos of WDW, parades, characters, Ft. Wilderness, etc.;
5. Go through your own pictures and videos of the Fort, over and over and over;
6. ALWAYS be planning the next trip to the Fort.

See if this puts a temporary band-aid on your situation, until you can get in to see the chief of staff Dr. Mickey Mouse.:sick:
