New member - first call to MS?

I just closed on my resale contract on Monday! When should I start calling MS to see if we are in the system? Next Monday? Sooner? Wait a little longer? I want to make a reservation for the end of April and I feel like I can see availability slipping away with each day that passes!

Rather than start a new thread, I'm in the same situation. We have our DVC cards an Aug. use year and no points till Aug. We bought some points for a trip in FEB and would like to go with the Grand daughter at the end of May. Do we need to make some initial contact with DVC or Member Services ? I didn't get a package or anything yet.

I closed on a resale on 11/15 and got my letter from DVC on Monday of this week...hope that gives you a timeframe. It was a second contract for me and it showed up on the DVC member website within a week.

If you have your member # just give them a call. They will tell what you can and can't do and when you can do it. That way you will know your options and can go from there. They have always been very helpful in the past.

Only if you bought direct, I think, as far as the initial pack of documents go. But next year, you should at least get the points lists for 2013 and probably the brochure with the lastest version of the rules.
