New Magic Your Way Package Specials for Jan-March?

Does anyone know if the new promotion with the MYW packages is limited to packages booked with room OR if it includes people who just purchase the MYW tickets?

We are taking some friends in Feb. and have booked a 2bdrm at OKW with our DVC points. My family has APs, but our friends need to get tickets. We have told our friends they will just need to purchase park tickets and after discussing our trip they have decided to get the park hopper option.

With this new promotion, can they purchase the base tickets for this trip and ask for the park hopper and Magic Plus Pack upgrade without booking a room?

I just asked on another thread if I could get 10 day tickets with a 1 night stay (we are also using DVC for most of the stay). Was told that there is a 3 night minimum you must purchase to get the tickets.
