new magic bands

We just got ours for a Jan 19th arrival... old style.

My Jan 23 checkin is the older style. I am waiting for my second one (split stay) to arrive. I went ahead and got two hoping one of them would be the new style. But it shipped in December as well so I'm thinking it will also be the old style.

So I just went to look at my exact shipping date and while I ordered a green band my order now says yellow. Guess they are running out of bands. However this irks me as I would never order a yellow band. I don't like the color. i will be asking to change it out when I get there, wonder if they will have new or old bands at the resorts in late Jan. If I had gotten the green I wouldn't ask to change and if they tell me no then I'll blow it off but I figure it can't hurt to ask.

Yeah. I have been afraid to get my hopes up for the new bands. My bands recently shipped so maybe they will be the new ones.

Now, if I could just buy the accessories.

I got mine today for my 1/25 trip and they were the old style

I'm thinking that they are clearing out old bands and that's why some get old and some new.
If people not only post what they got but what colors, you could see for sure.
I doubt they would ship half and half so if my thinking is right, you would see people getting new bands are getting different colors then those getting old

We are supposed to get ours tomorrow or Thursday for our 1/27 trip. Excited to see that some people are getting the new bands for same arrival day as mine. BUT i'm just assuming i'll get the older version so I don't get my hopes up. Truthfully I'm happy either way, but I was hoping to order skins for the bands and now that it is unsure what style we will get that will be a little difficult last minute. Will let everyone know.

My room only band came in today. Old band and not the colored I ordered. Like I posted above, I'd have been fine with an old band in the color I wanted but I am not happy that they sent me a color I didn't ask for in an old band instead of a new band in my chosen color since they have begun to send them out to others in my same time frame.

We check in on January 26 and got the old bands yesterday. I'm glad - I'm not a fan of the new bands.

Both my new AP band (new style) and my next vacation bands (old style) shipped from Davenport, Florida to Tennessee then to me (who is right down the road from Davenport).

You don't choose when your magic bands ship. You simply choose the color you wish, and what you want printed on them. These orders have to be completed before 30 days before your trip. The magic bands will ship soon after your 30 day mark passes, usually within 2-3 days.

My wife has a trip arriving on January 22nd. Her magic bands shipped from Davenport, FL on Dec 24th, went all the way up to Bensenville, IL on the 28th, then came back down south via Atlanta and Mobile, AL. Her magic bands arrived Saturday, Dec 31st.

January 26th check in and we got the old style yesterday.....

I would have ordered orange instead of a third pink one had I known.

We got two pink, a blue and a green.

So on a whim I went ahead and called to let them know that I was sent the wrong color magic band. The guy asked me if I knew that I didn't need another one if I had an older one that I liked better. My check in for that band is the 26th. I actually am checking in before that as I have a split stay. I usually like to have two active bands at any time so that if one dies I have a back up ready. The one for my other stay is not the new version but it is in the color I ordered.

Anyway he is sending me out a new order. It shows the original green band in the picture. As long as it is green I'll be happy, but I'll let you know if I get a new version or the old. It should be here next week.

Mine shows the original ones as well. I picked green too. So that is what is making me think we got the original ones, because that is what's pictured. But now I am second guessing that. Oh well, it really doesn't matter.
