Oh side note and related, is there a way to NOT get everyone a band if you are doing the discounted bands prior to arrival? When I looked the other day it was forcing to get everyone a band, which I dont need one for all 5 of us as we are gonna reuse some we already have.

That's some good sarcasm right there but no, you don't need to carry around a 6 pound charger, you just need to keep buying the Disney chargers at one of the many conveniently located vending machines!

It probably won't be long before the MDE app disables normal charging and only allows charging from a chipped Fuel Rod, or some other Disney enterprise yet to replace them. You laugh...

Gee, it lights up, it buzzes, and it syncs with the shows. Kind of like Pal Mickey. Or that other huge success, Glow With the Show. Or Made With Magic. In all my visits to WDW, I saw exactly one family with two kids with Glow With the Show ears.
And yes, I have a pair--bought in close-out in the outlet store.

There are only two of us, but when presented with MB purchase options for a newly-booked stay, each one of us had a “decline MB” button as well as an opportunity to order. We didn’t both have to order or to decline.

I haven’t seen an update, it is supposed to be out in early 2022 and that’s in a few days.

Last update was in November, and they had said DisneyLand in 2022. There has not been an announcement for WDW that I have seen.
