I just got back form disney and they had a new line set up for 7DMT ( that I like a lot better) where FP and the stand by line comes together they were have 2 lines one for even numbers one for odd not it is just one line yes just one line. I was often in the odd line since I go alone and so may times the even line would go 3 to 5 times faster then the line odd line. They all so had people ride alone if there was a odd number so there was a lot of empty sets I would have an empty set and there would all way be another one with in a few rows of me so I am wondering if there will be a single rider line for 7DMT

I had recently seen that they had done this. I like you have seen many empty seats on this attraction, and think that a single rider line would be a fantastic idea. Let's get those seats filled.

So I was there on Wednesday last week and they were using the two line system and then on Saturday is was this new line system you're talking about above. Interesting... I saw my train go out twice with maybe 3-4 empty seats... Single rider should be a no brainer.

The system you describe seems to be inefficient. The old system seemed to work very well. The loading used to be very impressive and well done.

Seems silly to change a system that was working very well.

the old way was horrible at best I can not tell you how may times I would get in the odd line and the even line would move 3 to 4 times faster, after I got beyond the FP point I moved so quickly it was amazing. I really think they are seeing how may odd people there are so they can maybe add a single rider line. 7DMT is one of the longest wait at the MK and I think it could help some or at lest get people that could not get a FP for it a chance to ride it.

Hm. We have ridden it numerous times- some with four people, but more often with three. The FP line has always gone super fast- one of the most efficient FP lines in all the parks. It always seemed they were loading it very effficiently- and few empty seats. I am not sure about single rider. We saw several problems with that at Test Track and EE on our last trip. Lots of either ignorant or cunning families getting in single rider line with five and six year olds, then arguing with CMs who told them the six year old can't ride alone. Other families who get in line with kids who then cry about riding alone then argue they should be able to just ride together. Wasted a lot of time. Whatever is most efficient and quickest has my vote.

The odd/even lines don't begin until after the second FP point so I don't understand this.

We are almost always an odd number and we never experienced the even lines moving quicker than ours. It is one of DS favorites so we usually ride several times each trip. I don't think even when crowded the line from that point ever took more than 8 minutes or so. Been riding often since day it opened and have not seen one line have advantage over the other.

I agree a single rider line is a problem for something where young children can ride, parents will try to beat the system with a single ride line non-stop. It will be the latest hint on discussion boards, get in the single rider, they'll have to let you ride together cause you kid is too young. Would hate to see it added here - it's a family ride, no need for single rider arguments unless single rider has a minimum height requirement taller than the norm so no young kids get in that line.

Disney will catch on a prevent something like that from happening but when a train is going off with 2-3 empty seats (which by the way I have seen every time I have rode this ride) would eliminate these empty seats. There is absolutely no reason a train should have 2-3 seats open and this could be fixed with a single rider line.

I have never seen this ride leave with empty seats during normal operating hours. There would be no way for Disney to prevent abuse of the single rider line; it already happens in many other instances.

We typically have 5 and have not experienced an appreciable difference if the odd or even line they have typically used.

Well every time I have rode there is 2-3. Even if people abuse the line it would still mean no empty seats. There is no excuse for empty seats. And it happens a lot.

If they stick with the odd/even it keeps train full. Have rarely seen empty seats and since I'm the odd one, always sit with a stranger. I don't see any reason to change it.

And hoping Disney stops guests from working the system .... zero confidence on that one.

yes it is after the second check point ( I often have a FP and a DAS return time for this ride) so I ride often and I go to the point where since I go to disney alone most of the time I would get in the odd line look at the last person in the even line and they would get on the train look at the last person in the even line they would get on the train and I would some times do this 3 or 4 times. I am glade you have not had this experience with it.
