New Lady Gaga video?

I think it's really weird, like her, hahaha!
But really no offense, the ending was really like HUH?! Why, why, why, why would anyone think of these things?!

It was interesting to say the least, but sometimes she takes it too far :/

the middle-end was way better than the beginning. the beginning was really weird.

i like it & her .

can't stand her.
sorry.
the video annoyed me

i get so annoyed with her videos because she claims that they are such amazing pieces of 'high art'. but they're just art for the masses. as someone who studies theatre and performance art at university i find it soooo irritating that she's thought of as a performance artist because she wear avant garde fashion and makes these really random music videos. i understand they 'plot' of the bad romance video, she's kidnapped and sold as a prostitute, great, what's so artistic about that?!

if someone can explain to me why this video and the paparrazzi video should be considered 'art' i'd definitely be interested in hearing it. i'm not being sarcastic either, i'd really be interested in learning if i'm missing something.

i mean i get that most pop culture icons aren't really 'artists' and their music/music videos doesn't need to be dissected, but gaga claims that her stuff is art and performance art and blah blah blah and i just DON'T understand the message.

I had no idea what the heck it was about besides a "bad romance".
She drives me nuts, so I probably decided before I even opened it that I wouldn't like it.
And I didn't.

Her songs are okay (Although I didn't care for that one), but I think she goes way too over the top trying to be different.

I love Lady GaGa and hate when people judge her. She is unique and there is nobody else like her. I love the new video its amazing

Love the song.
Love the video.
Love her.

Sorry, I don't get the point of the video but I don't really care. No offense, but Lady Gaga isn't someone who's music I'm looking towards to thinking deeply about. If I want to think deeply about a song or a video, I'll go listen to Coldplay, Angels & Airwaves, or U2. I'm not looking for a message in her videos, I'm just looking for a great song to dance to. Who cares if it's art or not? People perceive things in different ways. To me, a non-artistic person, I think it's a pretty good shot at art.

She drives me nuts.
She works for shock value, and shock value only. It's pure random crap, that just bugs me. Listening to it gives me a headache because even the music itself is not well created.
It reminds me of the modern art at the Canada's National Gallery in Ottawa, people seem to think that if they hang a stool from the ceiling it's deep art that the taxpayers are paying to have housed there.
Just because it's random, does not make it good. Just kind of like people who scream out random ****, aren't funny.

The video is irritating. Her costume looks like sperm, she has freaking scary contacts in and I get sick of her having these upbeat random songs and then halfway through deciding she's going to have a sad moment.

I really don't do mainstream music, and she's like number one on my list of artists that I will not be caught dead listening to. I've hated her since Just Dance came out (that song, is annoying and repetitive, I've tried dancing to it, and it was almost impossible), before she decided to be some sort of wingnut for attention.

I agree and i hate lady gag gag. she is weird there is a fine line between good diffrent and just plain weird and she sped right past it.
As for the plot she probably got it from the movie taken that plot has been done before.

ITA! But the stool hanging from the ceiling usually has a purpose....unlike whatever it is gaga is trying to do.
what bothers me if that she CLAIMS that she's a performance artist and blah blah blah but all her stuff is so RANDOM and they're zero meaning behind it.
and i'm not saying that all music should have a meaning behind it, but if you're going to say it does, it shouldn't be just random 'weird' stuff.

Oh I'm sure it probably did. But in like the middle of the room was like, an old Coke machine. Oh wow, you can centre something! Like it wasn't anything the artist themselves designed.

It's irritating when artists spew out random crap, and you're wondering if there's a meaning or not. Or if there's always a meaning, they're making you work for it. And not even soul searching working, it's more like oh my god why does this riddle exist?

Love the video.
Love the song.
And I'm starting to like Lady Gaga more and more.

I don't love her, but I don't hate her either. She's someone whose music I'll listen to occasionally. Some songs, at least. This song is alright.
Her videos are weird, so I wasn't really shocked that this one was.

i like devo more.

and don't tell me they're not what her stylist and writers are playing off of. they wore flower pots as hats long before she was singing.

can't stand her.

I'm not looking for a message in her videos.

Don't bother.. There wasn't one, except for the whole prostitution thing.

Terrible video. Terrible song. The lyrics basically mean jack squat. The beat and sound was really elementary. Overall, a 0/10. How anyone can like this crap, I don't know. At least Paparazzi was catchy and had a meaning.

i feel like a lot of artists are smartasses. like duchamp and warhol. they make fun of how the haute society at large eats up "modern" art.

Agreed.

Never said I was. ;) Like I said, since when are lyrics supposed to mean somethin?. You think this is a stupid song, you obviously haven't heard many of the songs on the top 40. Prime example, Whatcha Say. Whoever wrote that song is just idiotic. I'd rather a song have no meaning than talk about a guy admitting he cheated and trying to beg his girl into getting back together. That's JMO.

If you look at the songs on my phone (which is my iPod), I have very, very few songs that have ever been in the top 40. Lyrics to me make the song. My favorite song right now is Eminem - "Beautiful." That song actually means something. There are artist, like Lil Wayne, who could absolutely dominate the music industry with REAL music, but they don't live up to their true talent. Lady Gaga is just another one of them. And "Whatcha Say" is absolutely horrible because they took the "mmm whatcha say, mmm that only only meant well" part from another great song (Hide and Seek - Imogen Heap) and no one realizes it. Then they turned it into a top ten single that sucks flat-out. I'd rather listen to artist with songs with real meanings like Eminem, Tupac, John Cougar Mellencamp, ect. than crap like Wayne, Lady Gaga, and whoever wrote "Whatcha Say"

i think that lady gaga is a little too crazy, but if all her outfits, weird videos & songs, etc are her way of expressing herself i say go for it.

personally, i like songs that have meanings behind them that i can relate too but there are some songs i like just for getting me up and dancing, and lady gaga is good at that.

also you have to realize that she does everything for the shock value, everything to get people talking. i mean we all are talking about how weird she is right now, thats what she wants. she's getting her name out there. nobody is ever going to forget her because of how different & weird she is.

i've had that song for a long time, and nobody believes me when i tell them and it makes me SO mad. they kind of took that part of the song and tainted its meaning and messed up the (original) song for me.

Thank you!
I was with some friends when this song came on a few months ago and said how mad I was that they got their hands on that part. And the singer who does it, isn't even good! The original was SO much better. The first time I heard the chorus, I was so excited because I thought they were finally playing my kind of music, then I learned that was not the case and it was a totally different song.
