New kitten name help - Name picked #19

We just acquired a new addition to our menagerie. We recently lost one of our fur babies. Simba got out of the house when a foster we had tore the screen in our bathroom. It has been 3 weeks and still no sign of him.

We decided to keep the foster (Twiggy) since she was a feral and is really comfortable in our house. My DH brought home a baby yesterday that has already had a very hard life. They found her at his office and she had an injured leg. After a vet visit, we found that she has already had a fractured leg - now healed and has an almost dislocated knee joint (disfigured) on her other leg. She isn't even 8 weeks old yet or barely if she is.

She is a little tabby with beautiful grey eyes and what looks like eye liner on both her eyes, plus two dark stripes on her forehead. I took a couple pictures, but my camera battery died so I can't upload them yet.

Any ideas on a name? DH was thinking maybe Twilight. I originally thought of Cleopatra - Cleo for short, but it does not fit her.

Currently we have a Blackie, Babbette, Angel, Tinker Boo, Miss Priss, & Twiggy. Our little family just keeps growing.

This just came to mind as I am not a cat person but my neighbor has a new kitty that they named Hagrid, I guess of Harry Potter fame?

I'm so sorry you never found your kitty. I remember that thread and sorry to say got busy with life and didn't realize it has been that long. That is too bad and I'm sure you are heartbroken.

What color is the new baby? It is so hard to think of names.

OMG she is adorable!! she reminds me of an Egyptian princess with a headdress the way her head is wide at the forehead and pointy at the chin.

Soooo pretty! I think she looks like a Cleopatra. Although, if you're Trek fans, she also kind of looks like a Vulcan kitty. =) Or maybe Jasmin? She's got such gorgeous almond eyes!

Faline!!!

from Bambi. she is fawn colored and the Latin meaning of Faline is like a cat.

Had to think a few minutes but I kept saying she is fawn colored, like a deer, hmmmm.

Going with the Harry Potter theme someone mentioned, how about Minerva (you can call her Minnie until she grows into it) - after Professor McGonagall? (She can change into a tabby cat.)

Or Silvermist (one of Tinker Bell's friends). You could call her Misty for short. She's a lovely little lady.

Ahh, she is so sweet. We just adopted a kitty last weekend and she is so precious. The name the rescue group had given her was Lavinia! A little too much name for a little kitten, so we changed it to Lily, which I really like. But my kitties never get to only have one name. So far I'm calling this one Lily, Lilybelle, Lils, Belles or Bella. I really like Bella and thought about making that her official name. OMG, I forgot what it was like to have a kitten. She is literally bouncing off the walls and when I left today she was climbing the drapes.

I know what you mean. At our house Blackie is also Moo, Babbette is Bebe or Brat, Angel is Zoom (& she does zoom), Tinker Boo is Tink Tink or my little man, Miss Priss is Princess and Twiggy is Twiglet or Miss Twiggy.

The way she positions herself sometimes due to the one leg, looks like she is a princess reclining on pillows. DH thinks she is going to be a mommy's cat like our Simba boy was.

Well its official. Our newest addition is now called Willow. We looked at Misty Moon (misty) or Mystique (misty). Even KoKo from "The Cat Who" books.

For more good news - we had a 2nd sighting of Simba in the back yard. We have set the trap out again with food in the trap. Plus food & water outside the trap. DH brought a feral home to put out back to see if we will get some more sightings.

We have a feeling that he might not want to be caught again and it that is the case, we will just leave the feral house out and keep food out for him.

Now we know that he isn't injured or dead.
