New Jiko Wine and Cheese Tasting

Disney today announced a new wine experience at Jiko, the table service restaurant in Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. Each Wednesday from 3-4 p.m., take a journey through the wine regions of South Africa and sample three delicious vintages paired with cheese and fruit. Cost is $25 plus tax and gratuity, and reservations can be made at 407-938-7149

Usually TIW is not accepted for anything that's not the regular restaurant menu.

My DH wants to eat at Sanaa, Jiko, Boma and now we'd love to do this! Wish there were availability at AKL for my stay!

I think we may do this We've been decided on what we wanted to do at AKL being mindful of the budget. We had decided arrival day we'd do Wanyama, then decided we couldn't afford it, we'd just eat @ Jiko..Then we decided to scrap that, too...This sounds like something we'd really enjoy and the price is right

Especially of the cheese and fruit, etc. I love the cheeses.

My boyfriend and I did the wine tasting a few weeks ago at Animal Kingdom Lodge and it was fantastic! They had a plethora of cheeses, fruits, figs, and other pairings to try with the wines. We tasted three red wines and they were all delicious! They change the wine each tasting, so you won't know what you are trying until you get there. I DEFINITELY recommend this wine tasting experience at Jiko!

Call and reserve a spot ASAP. Sometimes they have cancellations, but only a certain number of people can do the wine tasting at a time!
