Can someone tell me exactly what dates are considered New Jersey week?
I am starting to plan a vacation with my friend for around the 2nd week in November. Also why can't I get onto to the web site for Mousesavers so that I can get a quote for a trip?
Thanks

Jersey Week is technically 2 days off school, Thursday & Friday, November 10 & 11. Most people will head down Monday of that week, some on Wednesday and some just Thursday - Sunday. Also a few add Mon/Tues on the other end

We've been during Jersey week. It was not bad at all. This was in 2003. We never used FP as the waits were 5-20 for pretty much everything. There were quite a few rides we just walked onto as well. I know there are really mixed reviews on the crowd levels then. I was really scared thinking it was going to be a mob scene. It was just fine though.

The week of November 7, 2005 - November 11, 2005 is a very short week of school for the kids. That's why so many in NJ end up in Disney this week. The Schedule is:
Monday 7th -1/2 day of school - parent/teacher conferences
Tuesday 8th -1/2 day of school - parent/teacher conferences
Wednesday 9th -1/2 day of school - parent/teacher conferences
Thursday 10th no school -NJ Teacher's Convention
Friday 11th no school -NJ Teacher's Convention (I won't go during this time)

Just FYI, I know some districts (like ours) moved conferences to another week. Our guess was to many people were more apt to pull the children since they were only missing 1 1/2 days instead of 3

You are right that some of the townships in NJ have conferences on a different week. Our township combines it together so the missing the week doesn't really hurt the kids. I will not go this week even though my kids won't miss that much school. I know how many people in my town go to Disney during this week. So I stay away. I will usually go a week or two weeks later. Luckily my DWD is a straight A student and she catches up on her work quickly.

Our district did the same thing this past year. They used to close for 2 days for conferences in November. They changed the conferences to the first week in December, one full day and 2 half days.

So this past November DS missed 2 days of school for our trip. I'm wondering now if we'll skip Jersey week (which is now priced at regular season) and maybe go in December during the conferences.
