New Jersey State Shutdown . . .

i was just wondering if anyone had opinions on the state shutdown or if it will really effect some people. We were talking about it down the shore this weekend and it sounded like it was going to be a pain and would affect some people down the shore but i was just wondering what you guys though about it and if it will even bother you at all???

The casinos shutting down effect us too. My dad works at a casino and now we're like... now what?? The state wants more money, but alot of the money comes from the casinos and the state will lose alot of $$. Also, they are thinking of raising the taxes to 7%. That sucks

OMG this darn thing is totally messing up my life. i am so mad right now i feel like going to the govener and yelling in his face right now. Me and my friends cant go for our driving tests now which is really ticking me off. I also have a friend who started to work in a casino and now cant get paid anymore. So right now thats how i feel about this shutdown. Is this doing anything bad to ur life right now? ~bandfag~

yah i also think it is stupid, a lot of the people who i have been talking with hate the idea, and wait, you said that they are shutting down the driving tests???? that stinks really bad, i am like waiting to get mine but it doesnt effect my family as much with the casino thing but my mom does work for the fed and i think that she was saying something going on at work but i really have no idea, all i do know is that it is ridiculous and on my way home from the shore today there were signs saying that they are shutting down the historic sites and the state parks, i think it is so ridiculous and that he is jsut trying to prove that he has power and that he is so tough and cool but really he needs to wake up and realize that he is dealing with peoples daily lives and that uhh he is just so stupid lolol

He will be remembered as the GOVENER FROM HELL!!!!!!!! lol or The Govener That Put New Jersey In Its Own Dark Ages. Now idk bout u but i am not having an idiot ruin my life cause he is getting mad w/ the casinos for not making a specific budget of $. This lunatic is closing all governmental buildings which is sooooo totally wrong. He should be resigned from being the govener. I think its time for him to smell the strength of the New Jersey kids, and adults who he was put to govern. time is running out for the poor govener to make a better decission before he creates total cahos.

Well our govener has put the state in a total shutdown which is totally bad. The government is closed, all casinos are closed, and all state parks are closed. The driving tests cant even be done because of this. So basically New Jersey is in a Dark Age right now. I found out bout it when i went to go for my driving test, and they wouldnt let me take it because of this. So right now im really outraged!

No there isnt a threat, our govener is just a complete idiot!!!!! He shutdown the entire state because the casinos, and governmental parks, and buildings would not make a specific agreement on the budget of the state. So the govener shutdown the entire state for some idiotic reason. So he wont be re-elected for another governmental job EVER!!!!!!!!! And i will be sitting in my chair doing this to him

i just dont see why he has to do this to fix the bidget like i think he should use his brain (hmmm does he still have that jp) and find a way to cut back on some funds to fix it instead of making our lives even more complicated, o and another thing he has shutdown are the racetracks and lotteries. these might not seem important because of the gambling aspect but i know someone who works there and this is really bad for their business. uhh this is just so stupid

well.. if you think about it, by shutting down the state he's forcing the state to decide on a budget. but i personally don't think this is the right way to go about getting people to agree on the budget...

but he's the Governor and i'm not... so i respect his decision.

My parents go to the casino like..once a week so they're angry. And also since all the lottery machines aren't working, my mom can't get her daily lottery tickets. It must be really stressful on her because she's like...obsessed. But in a way, it's good. We'll save money from this.

Well, the state's businesses and government couldn't agree on a budget and funding or something like that. So until Corzine (NJ's Governor) and the businesses find out an agreement, Corzine shut down most of the big businesses like Casino's and State Parks. He also plans to raise the taxes from 6% to 7%.
