The three high schools in and around Mt. Laurel are Shawnee, Cherokee and Lenape.
Actually there are four now, Shawnee (for Medford, Medford Lakes, was a smaller portion of Indian Mills and Shamong)
Cherokee ( for Marlton, Marlton Lakes, Evesham, and Evesboro)
Lenape ( for Mt. Laurel, (a very huge township), and formerly Southampton, Vincentown, part of Indian Mills, and Shamong (the portion that did not go to Shawnee)
Seneca -- now this school is for Vincentown, Southampton, part of Pemberton/Southampton border (up to the four mile circle), Hampton Lakes, Mobile Estates area, Shamong, Indian Mills, Southampton Township, Buddtown, and small section of Easthampton that is not sectioned off by Rancocas Valley High School)
There is also a Burlington County Vocational School in Medford NJ (that is off Hawkins Road) there is also a Northern Burlington Vocational School, in northern Burlington.
I am near Cherry Hill NJ right now. Cherry Hill is in antoher couty than Mt. Laurel (Mt. Laurel is in Burlington Couty, Cherry HIll is in Camden County)
Pennsauken is basically at least 30-45 minutes from MT. Laurel (thats on a good day without traffic), and Pennsauken is also in Camden County versus Burlington County (where Mt. Laurel is )
Pennsauken residents never went to Mt. Laurel schools. Mt. Laurel (from what I could tell) would go to Lenape (I graduated from Lenape High School) . Lenape high School first class was in 1965 I believe, so if this person is over 50 years old, they would have gone to Lenape.
There are a few alternative schools in the area where students would go if they have behaviour problems... these schools/sites would be:
Ancora
Hampton Hospital
Archway
Deveraux (pronouced Deva-ro)
New Lisbon State School
Burlington County Special Services
YALE School (Cherry Hill)
LEAP Academy (Camden--Camden County)
There may be some military schools as well, but I don't know them .
There are some private schools as well.
And the OP could write Southern New Jersey DIS'ers because there is a great difference from Norhtern NJ and Southern NJ.
