New items 8/10!! Including Rereleased Green flip hat!

This is one hat I didn't own and don't care about. Its ugly! I have never understood the big deal about that hat. It was rare but yet ugly.

I thought I was the only one who felt that way.

Anyone else getting that feeling once they are releasing a large number of rare items?

I finally got my flip hat after months of trying a few weeks back. I traded full tron, full kali, and two one-star snowman magics... now I can buy the same hat for only 1000 credits?!?!??!?!?! I'm really on the fence about rereleasing things. Yes people say we got to enjoy things while they were rare, but I only had mine a few weeks...

Makes me very hesitant to trade for any costumes whatsoever anymore. For instance, Yavn mentioned baseball coming back. Well, as much as I want a red baseball suit, there is no way I'm trading my VMK savings for one now, if I'll be able to buy the darn thing for 1000 credits here in a few weeks.

Nope. I never cared much for it either. I think sea tea looks much better with her ears or with her musketeer hat.

Green is not now, nor has ever been my fave color.

As far as the re-release of any items go I see it as perhaps vmk's way to cut down on some of the scams out there.

Exactly. The rarer an item, the increase in demand, the higher the "price." This opens the door for those who are a bit shady to look for those who are a bit naive and allow themselves to get scammed. VMK can't do much to help players "be smart," but they can lower the value of the items causing the troubles.

Musketeer hat is not exactly a "trouble maker," so I dont see that being next.

I say at this point expect all things to be released again at some point. So if you aren't sure you want to trade a bunch of your items for something cause it may return then don't. But if you do you know at this point that item could return. I would expect the other hats to be released soon with these others returning.

And whoever started that rumor about the cowboy pants is not cool. I saw someone that said something about it when I FINALLY got in Ned's and told them its not for sale and it wouldn't be in that store. Wrong theme!!


And glad to see I'm not the only one that thinks that hat is ugly.

The order they were released in 2005 was: Minnie, Sorcerer, Musketeer, Pan and Flip.

Actually, Sorcerer was the first of those hats sold; during the 50th Celebration weekend in July of 2005. (Gold space suit, yellow princess dress and tiara, and both the Tomorrowland 8/9 and Tomorrowland Retro Submarine pins also came out that weekend; no wonder so many players didn't have enough credits to get it all!)

I really don't mind them re-releasing rare items. Yes we are all going to make that expensive trade right before, but then again, we will all at some point make a smart trade right before.

And i just wanted to add that i think it is very nice of VMK to let us have two months of double credits days to pay for all of these new and re-released items. So, Thank you vmk.

So next time we see double credit fun days, we can all figure on big things being released shortly afterward.

This is rediciulous! I just made a trade the other day for a flip hat and I traded alot of very rare things for it! I am officially done with VMK. There is no point in trading because you end up losing stuff because everything rare just comes back anyways. Bye everyone.

Not sure if everyone remembers but there was a poll a while back asking us what should be done about rare items. The winner was release rare items weekly/few at a time. They are just listening to the people who voted. No matter what VMK does it will not win. I am not surprised at all by this release...

I'm glad that those who have not had the virtual means to get a flip hat will be able to do. What I don't understand is why VMK just wouldn't release a different color flip hat? They could have easily released, say a red flip hat, and appeased all who had wanted one. While at the same time not deminishing the value of the green hat. VMK sold a different color space outfit, why couldn't that be done with this hat? So instead of having two colors that would maintain some value throughout the game, we're left with a glut of green ones. At this rate I really do hope that VMK decides to release the much rarer items, because they're making it that much more impossible to be able to trade for them. Sometimes I really don't understand VMK's thinking, but I guess that's why they get paid the big bucks.

I am fine with them releasing the rare stuff I have as long as It gets balanced out with stuff I don't have Pink Tiki Would Be Nice. Or Maybe Purple Treasure Chest How about some rare furnishings yavn? I guess it's just one of those things where people will never be happy all around no matter what they do lol. I know someone said this before and I liked their idea of releasing different colors for rare items instead of just re-releasing the items when they plan too, Or better yet, new things are always cool. I'd be all for that
