New Issue of Disney Magazine

I came home last night to find my new issue of Disney Magazine. It's one of their best in recent memory. A whole section on Disney's Animated Movies! Really good stuff.

If you haven't received yours yet, get ready - it's a winner.

I noticed Song of the South wasn't in there. Is it just so taboo that even Disney doesn't even want to acknowledge it was even made? The put the Three Cabaleros in there and it was mixed with live animation!

You know, I forgot all about SOTS. It's a shame that it's been so blackballed. I saw it once many years ago and fell in love with it instantly. It's still my Mom's favorite childhood movie too.

Does anyone really think of Uncle Remus as a lowly slave? I think of him as a very sweet man with loads of wonderful stories that make children (and adults) happy. The slave issue never even entered my mind until people started screaming about it.

I definately don't think of Uncle Remus that way either! I keep hoping that Disney will finally release the dvd with the Treasures collection. It really is a shame. It's such a great movie!!

So far I love this issue! I love the whole section on the animated movies and I'm right in the middle of reading every single word.
