DD wants an IPod for Christmas. Are they hard to use? I heard there were some issues with batteries or something like that in the beginning. Do they still have problems?

Not hard to use at all. In fact my 8 year old daughter can use mine without problems. My son (almost 11) likes mine as well.

Anyone know if the Minis are being phased out? The Apple website doesn't list them anymore.

Yeah, the minis are being discontinued. I really want one of these nanos, but between that and a Christmas trip to the World... Oh well, here's hoping Santa thinks I've been good this year.

These new ones don't come in colors either...

They come in black and white. Not all the nifty mini colors, but still colors.

My 9 year old dd bought herself one and she can use it better than I can LOL. They did fix the battery issues with the newer generation of Ipods. It bites, because my dd's is not only a brighter color, but her battery lasts at least twice as long as mine does LOL.

Well I apologize to everyone for buying a mini, because as usual as soon as I buy something it becomes yesterday's news!
My mini holds 1500 tunes, and I have almost 1000 on it--the nano holds 1000--it wouldn't be enough for me.
Guess I better buy the car adapter for my mini before those are gone too!

I was just looking at the nano today. Going to get it for DD for Xmas. Going to get the white one with the 5 pack of protectors that are all different colors.
