I received an IPod and have been trying to figure out how to download. It appears I downloaded all my 12 and 13 yo's music. I want it OUT of my machine!!

Please tell me I can delete this stuff and if so, how do I do it?

Thanks for your help!

My husband has an ipod and I think what he does to delete songs is to access the iPod through iTunes, choose the iPod icon from "source" column on the left side and you will see a list of all of the songs that are in the iPod. You then highlight the songs you wish to remove and then simply press "Delete" on the keyboard. It will ask you if you are sure you want to remove items, just say ok.

You have to hook it up to iTunes and go into the iTunes preferences then click on the iPod icon and you can probably tell it which playlists to put on the iPod. Atleast I think that's how you do it, I haven't done it in a while, but I know you can't do it through the column.

Itunes library is the master library. you need to sert up a playlist for eack pod. we have 3 and 3 playlists. each time we connect them, they know their playlist and update as needed.

Thank you for your help. I'm figuring things out one step at a time. I'm sure it's easier than it seems at the moment! We have three pods in this computer, and it's tough keeping them all straight.

Thanks again! :sunny:
