New iPhone App from Mapman!

Steve Munns, who does the superb OrlandoMaps.co.uk and our maps in the Brit Guide, has developed a new iPhone App. It sounds as if it will be a really valuable addition for anyone with the necessary hand-held gadgets, and is available now. Here's what he tells us:

I now have my Orlando map as an iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad App available from the iTunes App Store for £2.99. It's been sponsored by SeaWorld, but we've just received permission from Universal to include some of their Park Info and Park Diagrams too.

The App is off-line, so no roaming charges, but it does include a searchable database to locate places quickly.

We intend to provide free updates (hopefully 6 times a year) and I want to add more mapping, such as my Villa Location Map, I-Drive Map and a new map showing Highway 27 in more detail.

It's called - iOrlando Tourist Map.

Sounds great! Pity I have an android phone....
I'm sure lots of other people will love it though...

It is a really good app, I got it over the weekend and had a quick scroll through. def better than having a book with a map that always gets lost

Simon, we bought this for our new iPad.
Whilst I agree it's a worthwhile addition it really isn't big enough for the iPad, and only suitable for the iPhone/Touch.

It is essentially the phone size on a larger iPad screen. Whilst cheap I am slightly dissapointed it doesn't fit the whole screen.
To be honest I wouldn't advise buying if using on the iPad.
