New iPad

APTV also allows you to "throw" your ipad screen to your TV as well as photos that you access through Itunes.

I subscribe to an online learning course so I open Safari on the iPad, go to the site, pick this weeks lessons and toss it on to my TV and work on the computer along side the lessons. It is great for this type of use.

If you have a mac, by July you will also be able to use it to "throw" your mac desktop or laptop to your TV screen as well.

I think the new iPad is more than just the display, network capabilities, camera, etc. my understanding is that the processor is also faster. Regarding the decision on saving $100 and getting the iPad 2 vs the new version, I'd look at the amount of time you plan to keep the device. If you will upgrade again in a year, saving the $100 might be worth it. If you want the device to continue to support new apps, new updates, the $100 might make it so you feel like you can wait 2 to 3 releases for your next upgrade.
I have noticed that the most recent software updates have slowed my iPad, and I have the ipad3 on order.

I'd like to have it, but not enough to pay for it. I'll suffer through with the iPad 2. I've made it through worse in my life.
